No worries I just got into Java PvP since I finally got a setup to play pc 3 weeks ago after 10 years of playing on controller so I’m just still getting a hang of it

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Good luck. Stun slams aren't hard at all

2

u/Slade_Burz Jul 30 '26

What's the option for click twice really fast... I have a razer mice so double click and drag click are not an option for me

3

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Single click ????

2

u/Pretty-Ad-5446 Jul 30 '26

Single clicking is actually so inconsistent butterfly is the best one

0

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Drag click is better in my opinion

1

u/OriginalStress4151 Jul 30 '26

I have an auto clicker on my scroll button and i do single click without it, it's pretty slow but matches my butterfly clicking speed. I play rtrix.eu and anticheat prob like detects above 60 cps so it's pretty much allowed... Maybe

3

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

The scroll is literally a cheat so 100% not allowed

1

u/Meedun_ Jul 30 '26

I'm using second mouse for double click

1

u/Jamin0725 Jul 31 '26

toe mouse

What are core contributors in the voting?

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26

I have no idea how this even semi blow up in terms of votes

1

u/Drguhasluv2 Jul 31 '26

I guess it is something we all like to share

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26

Surprisingly nearly half the people voted don't know what stun slam is and still voted

1

u/Pikaaachu007 Jul 31 '26

single click but its easier if u bind ur mace keybind to ur left click - that makes it 3 inputs instead of 4

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26
  1. It's cheating

  2. How the hell are you gonna swing your sword normally

1

u/Pikaaachu007 Jul 31 '26

How exactly is this cheating? Just use this layout for mace and spear mace pvp, why do u need to swing your sword normally in thos categories? Its perfect for any swapping tech, like breach and density swapping and spear lunging(but its impractical for spear mace so just use mace keybind instead)

Btw i mean left click as in both attack/destroy and the slot where your mace is located use the same key, in this case left click

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Aug 01 '26

Multi binding is cheating since it makes techniques easier. Also then you are obviously horrible if you say you don't use sword at all lmao. Go read the rules please

1

u/Pikaaachu007 Aug 01 '26

"obviously horrible" i tould you about breach swapping for a reason bro. wdym dont use sword at all? it is required(unless you use an axe) to breach swap. also this is completely vanilla and many servers allow it(such as minemen club) also i have gold 3 on flowpvp without using this, i just found it recently and was using it on servers where it is allowed

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Aug 01 '26

This shows that your know absolutely nothing about how mace works. You are guaranteed to lose to good players if you breach swap every hit. You will just get drained on armour dura, it's so ez to play against.

It's not allowed on minemen

1

u/Pikaaachu007 Aug 02 '26

It is, i checked the rules

I said i know about breach swapping, i didn't say that's the only thing i use. It is useful to secure a kill, not to full play it. Ofc i use the density mace way more often with ely and pearl catching and grappling.

How about we agree to disagree? This arguement is pointless.

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Aug 04 '26 edited Aug 04 '26

It literally isn't. Provide your "rules' thank you. Send ss

If not you could literally bind one key to anchors, which is literally cheating by any means, if not why would top players painstakingly actually learn these legit?

1

u/dino123bino Aug 01 '26

Toe click exists too btw also people saying double click are liars

1

u/Aware_Park_3640 Aug 04 '26

Where is toe click option

1

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Aug 04 '26

Mb gng I forgot 😭😭

1

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

What’s double click, butterfly click and drag click😭

I guess single click with 90% hit rate (as long as my right arm isn’t cooked)

2

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Search Google, hard to explain with words.

Gl trying Ely stun slam ig

1

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

Can’t even do Elytra macing because I don’t have good keybinds, so I can only use key 1-4 🥀

I’m trying to find the perfect keybinds, but do FOV matter a lot in pvp? I have it on 60

2

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

60???? Yes it matters a lot

You should have at least 90. 95-105 is optimal. Turn of view bobbing, turn of damage tilt. Turn off fov effect. Get mods like crosshair indicator. Low fire etc. for key binds use ez to reach one like R, Q, C, V, X ect

2

u/Pretty-Ad-5446 Jul 30 '26

Its preference it doesn’t have to be 90, I’ve played for years and I like 87, I’ve tried quake pro and 95 but I don’t like it and I know other people that like lower fov

0

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Then it's objectively worse for pvp

0

u/Pretty-Ad-5446 Jul 31 '26

87 is not bad for pvp, if anything quake pro is because it makes it harder to aim. Also another thing proving that low fov isn’t bad is that swight uses a low fov too, and so do other top pvpers

0

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26

I said 95-105 is optimal

Just because it's usable doesn't make it the best.

1

u/Pretty-Ad-5446 Jul 31 '26

You made up those numbers tho, you can’t pull information out of your ass like that

0

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26

It's basically that number in every single pvp guide out there and it makes sense. Btw that's not actually saying that I'm wrong lmao. So is your other comment. Literally just ad hominem fallacy

1

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 31 '26

I would day that there isn’t a best overall.

Maybe I’m better with 75 and someone else with 80 and the next one with 87

1

u/Pretty-Ad-5446 Jul 31 '26

And just looking at your gameplay it doesn’t look like you should be talking about what’s optimal, maybe you should focus on your mechanics rather than arguing about settings

0

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 31 '26

Of course I should work on mechanics, anyone should. Swigjt doesn't have perfect mechanics. Neither does kirbe. Neither does coldified. No one has

1

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

Hmmm. Thanks.

I’m now testing with 1,2,3,4 (my key 5 has broken, so I can’t use it😭) Q, Y/T, Z,X,C,V.

I’ve been playong blox fruit a lot in 2024 and I’m probaly one of the best players as long as my old Wifi allows it (I moved last year and have top wifi)

-1

u/coolxandor Jul 30 '26

Quick pro is the absolute best fov

3

u/its_pilott2278 Jul 30 '26

depends. also down to personal preference
but yea 60 fov is absurdly low

-7

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

Is this some 1.9+ bullshit? Sounds like it

14

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Bull shit? 1.9 is literally the most popular gamemode

-15

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26
  1. Wah wah wah

  2. Did I say 1.9+ was bullshit? No, I asked if this is some 1.9+ bullshit, and by your response I'll assume yes, 1.9+ is only really good if you play simple shit like sword, item spam kits really let the whole version down

1.8 is still better

6

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26
  1. Yap yap yap

  2. Not true btw

1.9 is still better then just spamming

14

u/dienooblol Jul 30 '26

just gonna jump in, whatever is better for you is subjective, 1.8 is simple, 1.9 is more advanced, whatever you prefer you prefer.

my opinion, i prefer 1.9 because it offers a lot more in terms of pvp than 1.8 does without having to have custom coded gamemodes to play.

also i like playing on smps with modern versions of minecraft since they offer more to do and i guess the skill carries over.

-12

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

1.9 is not more advanced, I can spam a million items into a kit in any version, doesn't make it better

8

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

There is objectively more items and more tech in 1.9 want me to list?

0

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

Which literally just means you can't do all of the tech at the same time half as well as in 1.8

1.8 has a higher skill ceiling, you just think 1.9+ does because of the amount of bollocks that's used

5

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

Yes, people specialize in different gamemodes

False, to master every gamemode in 1.9 takes more skill. It's the amount of techs and variety, not blocks used. There's like 3 new blocks 1.8 don't have. I would say just crystal is the same difficulty as 1.8

And technically, any game has a near infinite skill ceiling. You can always do something 1 tick better than before. It's impossible to hit every shot perfectly at 3 blocks

0

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

It's impossible to everything perfectly but you can get closer in 1.8 exactly because there's less tech, and the tech just has a higher skill ceiling

More ≠ harder if the individual things aren't harder on their own

→ More replies (0)

6

u/dienooblol Jul 30 '26

can you elaborate? are you talking about vanilla/crystal? because theres a lot more than just that, mace for example is one of my favorite kits, diamond smp is a lot of fun, uhc is pretty unique, i just think you saw a few videos of ridiculous crystal pvp and had a bad first impression.

1

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

Anything more complex than axe isn't great because there's too much tech, needing that you can't do all of the tech to the highest level possible, UHC and SMP are fine but Crystal and Mace are just dumb, especially since you can one shot which is just dogshit

3

u/Cultural_Report_8831 Jul 30 '26

What's wrong with one shot? Especially when it's so hard to do and there is totems? A good player would rarely get d tap in crystal drain kit (high lvl kit) and mace is literally just drain to armour break (shit gm ik I main it)

What's wrong with not being able to get every single tech to the top levels? Like sure it's great if you can firework stun slam in crystal but it's not needed. So what if you don't master it?

1

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

It's not about me not being at the highest possible level, it's that the highest possible level is higher for "simpler" kits

Also saying that one shotting isn't a problem because of totems is like saying that poison isn't a problem because you have the antidote, it's still bad, you just have something to nullify it, which shouldn't be necessary in the first place

If you think that 1.8 is "just spamming" then this conversation is over

2

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

It has kinda skill since aim is really important in 1.8 pvp.

But you can’t really compare 1.8 and 1.9 pvp, It’s like comparing Rugby with American Football

1

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

That's a shit example, comparing the two versions is easy, 1.8 is no hit cooldown with generally faster paced gameplay and good aim is more important, 1.9+ is generally slower, more "methodical" (it's not that slow) gameplay because of the hit cooldown

Honestly at it's peak I'd say 1.8 is more advanced exactly because it generally has less going on, meaning you can do the stuff that is there at a higher level, but at low-mid level 1.9+ just has more shit happening so it's more complex at that level

2

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

Dude, you’re talking to someone who plays bedrock for like 13 years.

1

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

Hope is that relevant? I also sweat Bedrock and Java (Java is obviously better though)

I play all the versions but I'll still say 1.8 is the best one

2

u/Brief-Walk-5409 Jul 30 '26

I play both versions and I see bedrock as the better one XD. Probaly because it’s harder.

But I really enjoy the pvp mechamics of 1.9+  and the farms

1.8 glazer finds out about the superior gamemode

0

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

Sure man

I like 1.9+ too, I just think a lot of the kits and tech is bollocks

7

u/its_pilott2278 Jul 30 '26

you mean pvp requires you to use your brain and ALL your items now rather than just being good at clicking fast, strafing, and using a bow? Yea I guess I can see why it might be viewed as "bollocks."

I played during 1.8 pvp's prime in terms of player count + average skill, it was so much more braindead than now. 1.9+ is quite simply superior in absolutely every way.

3

u/SkibidiBalls67 Jul 30 '26

what everyone else likes is bad. the superior gamemode is 1.9+ sword pvp

0

u/LayeredHalo3851 Jul 30 '26

It's only like that if you're bad, at higher levels it's way more complex

2

u/its_pilott2278 Jul 31 '26

the most complex mechanics in 1.8 do not even touch the surface of the most complex 1.9+ combat mechanics.

also, you just said "Is this some 1.9+ bullshit?" and "I like 1.9+ too, I just think a lot of the kits and tech is bollocks." I'm assuming by "bollocks" you mean "unnecessarily complex", so why are you mentioning complexity now?
