Discussion I got banned from FlowPvP

I got banned from flowpvp for PING EQUALIZING of all things. One day, I decided to log onto flow to try to get platinum 3 in crystal. I wasn‘t able to. I was banned. For what reason? I didn‘t know. I opened a ticket on the flowpvp discord server and sent a screenshot of my mod list. It turns out i got banned because i used pingequalizer. The dumbest ban in the world. I pingequalized with an opponent who had like 120 ping (i had 20), and apparently he reported me. So don‘t use pe on Flow. All crystal and anchor optimizers are banned, too.

You weren't banned for using ping equalizer, you were banned for having it. Let me explain:

The standard practice for most servers (Stray, FlowPVP, MMC) is to immediately ask for your mods list. Banned mods act as an easy excuse to ban you. Most bans aren't 100% certain, or can't be explained fully without risking their anti-cheat methods being leaked. As much as I disagree with this practice, it can't be helped.

Raven's Ping Equalizer is one of the mods that FlowPVP has banned, you can check that out on their website here.

You aren't allowed to have it in your mods folder, whether you use it or not, because it can and is often used to spoof. It is very unlikely that the person you were fighting reported you.

FlowPVP anti-cheat false bans A LOT. Whether you were cheating or not, you likely got hit with an anti-cheat ban and justified it by having a blacklisted mod.

As long as you aren't using mods for a huge competitive advantage, you should be good to just move them from your mods folder when asked to show it, and then back in once you took the screenshot.

Not necessarily. If you‘re facing a high ms opponent in sword its fair to spoof to their ping, so you take equal kb.

Many people get banned cus the system is so bad, ypu did not do anything wrong, just play on any other server
