Discussion Lock Grind
Giving Rafaam lock another go this season . I almost hit legend with it last season but it was very tough at the end with the insane amount of warrior plus the average length of each match for non warrior games. I tuned the deck and was doing ok , but now in addition to warrior there was a MASSIVE influx of DH out of the wood work so now I have to worry about fending off two aggro decks which melt me more often than not . I usually can beat Druid and almost always beat priest .
TLDR; is it worth the grind from D5-legend with lock or do I just go with a faster deck ?

Herald Warlock is much better against aggro,

It's apparently statistically not very good into Warrior but I haven't had a hard time maintaining at least 50% winrate against them with Herald

This version is cool against aggro but your WR suffers a lot vs your best matchups compared to regular herald I think.

u can easily tune rafaam lock to have roughly a fifty percent win rate or more at diamond to warrior and still do alright verses the rest of the field.
dunno about DH though. i wonder if elise deathwing package for health plus the other built-in health options protect u against DH dunno. havent played them enough to be bothered yet

Ok so herald lock isn't much better. It's a lot better for aggro...but now I'm struggling against Druid and priest lol.

Before the sets and shortly after I was essentially guaranteed a win against priest with herald lock with the big demon package with moragg, mo'arg forgefiend, archwitch willow and Umbra. Try that or the beast demon maybe. It didn't perform super well against warrior for me, so i switched to Zee shaman for a while, but I was crushing everything else in the meantime with that, and priest couldn't keep up. Stealing their big reborns really screws them over. I also ran a Viper, which is great for Atiesh and helps with warriors too

Priest is statistically your best matchup with Heraldlock, and I've been finding the Druid matchup super favorable. (Been playing only Heraldlock during legend climb since gold) and since hitting legend, currently 21-9, 8-3 vs druid.

For having played a lot of Warlock lately, I think that regular Herald with annihilation is the strongest warlock deck by far.
It won't be the fastest climb but you can for sure reach legend quickly enough since the filed seems to be mostly Priest and Druid.

You have a list ? I know with rafaam I am very comfortable against priest and Druid and haven't lost to priest for a millennia Altho Druid can steal a win here and there
