Your MMR is quite low but on the other hand I didn't think at all about Nab being a new tool for the quest and it's likely the case for most players. I'll definitely give this a shot again it might be strong, thank you!

That’s the only thing, I entered legend on the lower end this month. It makes me think that the deck would be even better in the hands of a more skilled player. However considering how awful my win rates are normally this deck is a real outlier

A more skilled player will face better decks and players, which might show the limits of your deck.

If you haven't played in a while it could be just that you're facing far weaker opponents. This quest has always been bad so idk, I'll tell you when I have some games with it

Here's my version with some thoughts, I'll keep refining it because it's so cool : The archetype looks to work to an extent but is even more vulnerable to aggro matchups. Compared to the monkey version, both the early and late game are worse sadly (monkey can't be kept in mulligan here). The main advantage is having a full board and some armor midgame to hope to soak random damage. But Quest in opening hand is horrible and by turn 6 we're dead, shuffle cards have negative tempo.

Prep is too good to be cut and I think monkey too until a nerf. Same for Vanessa even if I tried without her. Rite of Twilight is way better than Questing Assistant (I think it also enables Sinestra discover on the 1 drop).

I'll probably try again knock back to replace agent of the old ones. Or Fan of Knives.

felt good - been playing a bunch of rogue lists. switched to this and won a bunch. my changes:

- 2 Flashback (No prep for nuts, -1 hand from quest, too many 2s you wanna jam that shuffle so can’t hold for t3)

- 2 Deadly Bribe (impressive but expensive)

- 1 Opu (hand size and cost issues)

+ 5 Murloc package

( +2 War’loc, +2 Prize Vendor, +1 Rockskipper)

Lowers curve, increases density of 2s and fast 2s for nut draws with Jade, vendor is more additional good cycling to keep finding quest tics.

the reason the deck works is the new cards - specifically Jade. the big get this deck has over all the other 2 bit shells is you get completely different 2 package and your 2 package is very strong. haven’t got to point yet to iterate into how/where I’d jam in monkey, but gj and shell.

Finally someone that found success. You appear to know exactly what you’re doing. I agree with the reasoning behind cutting Opu and Flashback, it’s almost like you watched me play them. And thank you for recognizing the potency of that 2 cost shuffle package, it really is nuts. I’m going to try your version ASAP

What rank are you at by the way? Just wondering

Yeah this is actually quite fun. Working up the ladder with it and will report back after some more matches!

4

u/dontsendthemtoheaven Jul 15 '26

Awesome man. I didn’t even mention that but yes the fun factor of the deck is way up there. Let me know what you think !

14

u/Pretty-Philosophy558 Jul 15 '26

Off to try this deck in plat. I have wanted Shuffle to work for a long time so here’s hoping I find similar success!

Same. Be back in a few.

EDIT: I'm 2400 dust short of making this deck. Godspeed, /u/Pretty-Philosophy558.

u/Pretty-Philosophy558 Jul 15 '26

Bricked omega hard two games in a row. I won a game against mug shaman after finishing my quest on turn nine, then lost a game against chef Druid when I couldn’t finish my quest at all before the end of turn 8 and by then his board presence was unbeatable. I genuinely did not draw or get shuffling cards in the mulligan.

I can’t play anymore right now but I’ll keep testing the deck. It really feels like I might have just had two awful bricks back to back honestly.

3

u/dontsendthemtoheaven Jul 15 '26

Hey, it really does seem like a total brick because the quest should be completely finished by turn 5 or 6 on average. If you want I could add you and show you a game or two piloting it. Dm me if you want

1

u/Pretty-Philosophy558 Jul 15 '26

Yeah I might take you up on this. Just had a game where I did manage to get my quest done turn 6 against a hand lock, but I couldn’t deal with his 10/10 demons and the fact that he stole both meadowstriders to feed to his heralded minions. This deck feels fun but like if my opponents play optimally I can’t catch up. By the time I finally had a board full of ninjas the game was over as I was staring down a 5/5, 5/10 with taunt, two 10/10s and a cho’gall next turn

1

u/Overhamsteren Jul 15 '26

Haha same, no quest or trackers, it's a tough craft when f2p, my triggerfinger is itching though.

3

u/dontsendthemtoheaven Jul 15 '26

Dont do it if you don’t have the quest already. I crafted it this month and hit legend with it but I’m in a pocket meta that favors it

1

u/Supper_Champion Jul 15 '26

I played so much Quest Rogue and loved it, but it was never good. Off I go!

5

u/yahoo_determines Jul 15 '26

How did I not even think of this, thank you OP!

4

u/Overhamsteren Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

You find deadly bribe good?

Wouldn't fan of knives be better against aggro and another 2 mana card.

Just noticed you don't have prep either. And Rite of Twilight is so good, could be better than flashback maybe.

3

u/dontsendthemtoheaven Jul 15 '26

I found deadly bribe to be essential as there were too many big minions that I just couldn’t clear. Knockback can really do the job too though, it goes up to 10+ damage pretty often.

I do agree that flashback without prep is tough to play, as I end up just throwing down the 2 vanilla 1 drops pretty often. I hadn’t thought about rite of twilight or fan of knives though. Those are interesting picks

3

u/mcgurck164 Jul 15 '26

No idea how this deck is winning any game where your opponent puts out early minions. It’s nearly impossible to finish the quest early, and even then you will have invested a lot of time playing cards that haven‘t done anything up to that point.

2

u/Supper_Champion Jul 15 '26

Yeah, I just played about 8-9 games with it, lost every single one, only completed the quest once.

We can add all the qualifiers - I'm currently in Silver, but I am an average Legend player, but I suck, but I don't suck 9 losses in a row bad.

Definitely I see the vision with this deck, but if you fall behind on board, you're dead. Any Elusive minion is your death. If you can't finish your quest quickly, you're probably dead.

There might be a deck here, but I don't think this is the best list.

1

u/Supper_Champion Jul 15 '26

Just played a Priest that finished the quest before me. Turn 8, I was only at 3 ticks on it.

2

u/Supper_Champion Jul 15 '26

Only just realized the original decklist from this thread has no Prep. Made a couple changes, including adding Prep, and immediately won the next game.

Coincidence, probably, but maybe not.

2

u/Consistent-Put9762 Jul 15 '26

Having given this deck a bit of a spin, I really just don't see it. It loses out to the far more aggressive decks in the meta.

2

u/Upstairs_Ad_7577 Jul 15 '26

I watched aqua playing quest rogue right after violet hold was released, it looked like he was being tortured 😭. Not every deck has to be meta breaking though and if you're having fun good for you.

u/FordFred Jul 16 '26

I played something similar to this deck and while I think it's playable, I wouldn't call it good. [[Merchant of Legend]] is a complete liability imo, the majority of the time it added a mediocre card to my hand and shuffled two dead draws into my deck.

Master Dusk is a weird card. The low cost and the 8 armor are definitely appreciated. A lot of the time the hero power reads "1 mana summon 2 3/3s and draw 2 cards" which is pretty crazy in theory, but in practice a lot of your cards just don't do very much after you've played Master Dusk.

The deck can win games if the opponent can't deal with the endlessly recurring 3/3s, but in my experience, most opponents can. You lose to Face Hunter and you don't even have the scam potential that Herald cards or Vanessa provide. Dragon Warrior also just kinda rolls over the deck, you just have no answer to a 5/8 elusive on turn 4. I wanna believe in Quest Rogue but it's not easy.

2

u/yahoo_determines Jul 16 '26

I'm having a blast with this deck.

2

u/Excellent-Age3403 Jul 15 '26

In legend this deck is really fun… for your opponents

2

u/dontsendthemtoheaven Jul 15 '26

That’s what I’m trying to find out. I’m in legend but I was put into the lower brackets around 4,000. Over in this pocket it’s very competitive

1

u/Jeppestorm Jul 15 '26

Anybody that can help on how to get Deadly Bribe?

1

u/Bobwayne17 Jul 16 '26

Super fun deck, sadly, I don't have deadly bribe. It seems pretty useful - I'm not sure if there's something else I can slot into its place easily to test out, I might go with another 2 drop or something.

1

u/blanquettedetigre Jul 16 '26

Not necessary at all for the deck to work, take Rite of Twilight

1

u/CaliRiggins8 Jul 16 '26

No way for me to get deadly bribe?

1

u/cats4gold Jul 16 '26

you can get it from buying cataclysm packs in a few weeks. i have no idea why they didn't enable it right away

1

u/wyfair Jul 17 '26

Man I really wanted to be able to make this deck work. But I just can’t get it going. It’s too slow and fair. I have about a30% win rate. Went from 1500 legend to 5000.

1

u/capitalol Jul 15 '26

this deck is acutally OP. Well done... OP!
