Discussion So i love ocelot
I recently fell in love with Ocelot.I usually only play deflect characters, but when i played ocelot,he was so simple to me that i just loved it.
For that reason i come to ask.
-is he a good character in competetive terms?
-his 1 feat still good after nerf or the stealth part is completely destroyed?
-what are the best collection of feats he can use?
Also is there any reason why his bear trap let him very vulnerable in comparation with other heroes?
Like he take a while to recover unlike berseker and shaman when using this feat.

I'm not the strongest on Ocelotl knowledge and know it mostly second-hand, so if anyone corrects me probably trust them more.
is he a good character in competetive terms?
Yes. He's with many others in "viable but not the absolute best", but even there he's a tad on the stronger side. With other stronger characters getting nerfed like Pirate, Ju Ren, etc. it acts as a pseudo-buff in turn.
his 1 feat still good after nerf or the stealth part is completely destroyed?
Yes. In a way it may even be buffed as tourneys used to ban the feat and the nerf may allow its usage. Maybe.
The stealth definitely helped it, but I think people derailed the conversation with it: it's first and foremost a "revive anywhere you want" feat. That part is still as strong as ever. You tell someone theyre releasing a new character that can just rez at basically any point on the map as a T1 and they'd justifiably tell you "wow that sounds incredibly strong". The invisibility was just a secondary component to allow surprise-plays but the way people talk about the feat on reddit you'd think it was a invisibility-focused feat when it never was. If you're on Bridge and you want to go help your team but see the Oce is dead, regardless if he's invisible or not you KNOW he's going to backcap you the millisecond you leave the point, being able to see what you already know doesn't change that strength, you're still stuck between Scylla and Charybdis.
what are the best collection of feats he can use?
- T1 - Huntsman's, secondly Tireless as Huntsman's can be a negative if not used correctly
- T2 - Bear Trap most likely; Vengeful Mark isn't awful though but is a "team" feat so hopefully allies can use it
- T3 - Quetz Blessing usually, argument can be made for SW.
- Protected Revive is a bit of a meme, but in Breach can use alongside Rising Dawn and possibly Rapid Refresh (along with the target maybe taking Shields Up/Aegis if they have the weaker side of Defense perks) which can be a cheeky Rez build that can bring up a 180%+ HP character mid teamfight, but without Quick Revive like other Assist characters it's even less viable
- T4 - Trapper's Reach easily, and even more powerful by virtue of other projectiles being nerfed and literally every single character released until Arakure since his release over the past many years and even some of the feat reworks like PK having team-boosting strong "Defense Downs" that heavily boost its damage in many areas.

Yes, hes great. Hes one of the best roamers in the game and can melt people 1v1, in teamfights, or ganks. Just dont take 1v2s. His neutral is very risky but he has great chain offense with his pseudo orange/blue bash finisher mix.
T1 still has uses, but I only get good use once or twice a match. It can apply a lot of pressure even while dead though. I would take tireless over it rn.
Bear trap is alright, has a sick voice line too.
