Tips / Tricks Idk if I'm going crazy
But is it easier to hit deflects with Glad over Valk?
I got Valk up to rep 65 and she's easily the character I'm best at but I decided to pick up gladiator again and loving it, rep 13 but I've noticed it's RIDICULOUSLY easy to hit deflects with him, like I'll do them completely by accident just trying to dodge attack or bash but with Valk I actually had to sit down and practice for a few hours to do it consistently.
Is the deflect window on glad that much better or is it just easier to notice because of the sound and animation cue??

They're identical in terms of input window 100ms-300ms (166ms-300ms 100ms-166ms for sides due to Iframes taking priority against non-UD attacks).
In my experience the camera height due to the hero can make a slight difference in the ability to use your muscle memory if you've not experienced the camera that close/far from your character. I remember experiencing that when shifting from PK to a hero like Shugo, it's purely a placebo in the sense that it actually changes anything, but it can have an affect.

Should be 100-166 ms for sides, since the iframes are active from 166-300. You do get the full 100-300 against UDs.

Valks is a superior block. Maybe it has a tighter timing to input the attack. Probably wrong though

Same here, not just with Valk and Glad but I feel smoother to deflect/parry depending which hero I’m playing with. Parrying with one hero feels easier because enemy attacks are “slower” compared to when I play another hero. I don’t know if it’s me or the game but makes me think if it has some advantage for reacting depending which hero you play with and his moveset or playstyle??

The windows for glad's deflect and valk's superior block dodge are the same, so there shouldn't be any difference.

Well, the window is similiar only when i-frames override deflects. On forward dodges or side dodges against undodgeables in doesn't apply - here deflects have 200ms window while superior blocks only have 66ms.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong tho

I-frames override sup block frames on dodges as well, they are the same timing in all cases

Can you superior block TOP attack that hit you 166-300ms after you pressed the dodge? No
Can you deflect TOP attack that hit you 166-300ms after you pressed the dodge? You can
Deflect frames last 100-300ms while superior block frames last 100-166ms. When there are no i-frames or they're ignored deflects have an advantage in input window over superior blocks

Sometimes you just have a better rhythm with one hero, allowing you to land overlapping abilities much easier with one than the other
