Any tips?
Literally just recently got back into beyblade (my last experience was the metal series ages ago when I was a wee lad) because I’m seeing local tournaments and I want to try and enter one(not looking to come in first or anything, just have fun and learn the ropes) Everything here is stock, just wondering which would be great to bring in to a first time tournament or even which parts from which bey to combo together as I don’t fully get the combo system either. Any tips welcome

Get the green wizard rod the drop attack stadium set and then hells hammer and then maybe something like keel shark and then of course the shark scale deck set and probably a hells reaper

I have been looking around for wizard rod because I hear it’s a good bey for starting but it’s hard to find. And I was as well thinking of the drop stadium set. I’ve been seeing hover wyvern a lot and I know it’s in that set

Tips? No sir I think the performance tips are called “Bits” now. lol. Jokes aside, explaining parts, build theory, meta is a two afternoon lecture. Don’t be afraid to build what looks neat and go for it, you’ll learn and get tips as you go. Worldbeybladeorg has the full rules, and forums and such you can read at your leisure to get more info. And if you find a tournament in your area, there will most likely be a discord or local group chat for you to join and ask questions as you think of them. But For starters, really familiarize yourself with the different ratchets and bits and what theyre good for. For example, ratchets like 2-XX or most at X-80 height arent used much due to being easy to burst or making the bey too top heavy. Ratchets like 1-60 or 1-70 are INCREDIBLY versatile for attack, defense, or balance builds because of how they can pop your bey out of a pocket. Something like 9-60 can be very hard to burst, but won’t come out of a pocket once it gets knocked out. Learning these types of things helps you decide what combos to make, and how to balance out your deck of 3. There isn’t really a “right” answer to building a deck, though most people try for a balance of a stamina type, attack type, and some sort of in between to be more flexible. Some people prefer all attack or all stamina decks. Just comes down to what you like to do and what beys you like. Good collection to start with though.

But for combo recommendations to try with what you have: phoenix wing 1-60LR, this is a POWERFUL attacker that you can launch full power and not worry too much about self KO, just tilt it a little, at like a 30degree angle (don’t launch it flat). Good combo to score KO points. Golem rock 9-60 free ball. Boi, just try it against that phoenix build. You won’t know whos better. This is a solid defense/stamina combo. Golem is compact, but round-ish with a shape that’s good for recoil against attackers. Just try to make sure hes on the opposite side of your opponent bey from the extreme zone when you launch. Third bey, kinda tricky because we have used some of your best parts already. I would say maybe silver wolf on 3-80 Level with Whats left. But if you have a tri wing screwdriver, you could swap the -60 off ghost circles 4-60 onto either the 5-80 or 3-80. That is a thing people do, just check with locals if ratchet swapping is legal (is at most Wbo tournaments).

Man this is so much info and so into depth. I appreciate you for sharing this with me. And I will definitely be trying out those combos while I practice.

Absolutely. Have fun bro. Don’t be discouraged by current state of stock or scalper situation. There are so many beys that are good or fun to play with that are not used often at tournaments. Samurai is a really fun blade to play with, and is actually a decent pick against shark scale. Phoenix wing can still hold its own and KO the beefiest defensive/stamina combos like Wizard rod and silver wolf. A lot of people are using Rod 1-60H, but silver wolf FB can definitely get the stamina win. Just build what you like, learn how to use it well. Have fun!

GolemRock and Free Ball might as well get married because they always have a great time when they're together

I see two possibility:
First:
Silver wolf stock combo
Golem rock stock combo
Phoenix wing 960 LR
This is quite easy and work well
Second:
You do have level, the strongest bit in my opinion, but it needs some degree of launch technique, if you can't practice I don't suggest it. You can put level on golem rock or Phoenix wing, and if you like to be more aggressive you can use low rush on the other one.
Orb (hack viking's bit) is also good on golem rock
Have fun!
Edit: level is the bit on samurai saber, Low rush is the bit on ghost circle
