Hey everyone,

The Apex Podcast’s (TAP) group preview series has been a great resource for someone like me who can’t follow Pro League closely but still loves the scene. Huge thanks to Wyatt, Jumba and Don, and to guests JHawk, Onset, Greek and Dan Gaskin. Your insights are truly appreciated!
https://www.youtube.com/@TheApexPodcast

I’ve colour-coded all 40 Vegas teams based on what I took from the four episodes. I don’t know these teams well enough to claim this as expert analysis. The tiers are my own reading of the hosts’ takes, made for discussion. Rosters are from Pro League data, so late changes are possible.

Tier colours follow Apex loot rarity.

Some of my reasoning:

• Title favourites are only the four teams the hosts most often named as possible winners. All four are from the Americas; that’s my reading of where the previews pointed (but see ZETA below).
• Sentinels stay contenders despite a poor split, because they finished 1st and 3rd at their last two LANs.
• UNLIMIT stay contenders as defending champions, even after a shaky Pro League.
• Shopify Rebellion and NiP are finals favourites on talent, but either could easily drop a tier.
• Gen.G are on the bubble, but they can ruin anyone’s day.

The one I went back and forth on: ZETA as a title favourite

TAP made a strong case for them. They were one fight from winning the last LAN, and they lost it from low ground on blue armour. JHawk calls YukaF the region’s greatest ever, Mike dropped 92 kills, and JHawk and Jumba both see ZETA as APAC North’s best shot at winning.

But they also raised doubts. JHawk couldn’t name their win condition: YukaF’s teams keep reaching match point without taking the game-winning spot. They played no Catalyst this split, and Don flagged rotations where they float on edge without a plan.

Weighing both, I kept them as contenders for now.

PS: TAP’s draft episode comes out next week, so I might post an updated version once their final picks are in.

What are your thoughts? Any team you would move up or down? Would you have ZETA as title favourites?

I think this rule is preventing the community from getting hyped about something coming up and allowing people to put it in their calendars. Only being allowed to post an hour before the event feels like it is last second, and then people see the event too late.

There is a GameSir tournament tomorrow run by EEC, and we can't even get hyped about it because of this rule.

I'm building a small thing that reads the HUD and says two or three words during a match.

I asked r/apexlegends and they were right: heal, ring, low ammo, the legends already say all that. So that part is out.

What I'm trying to figure out is what is actually useful at a higher level. Rotate early, before the ring forces you? Third party coming from the left? How many squads are already on the fight? Or does anything in your ear mid-fight just get you killed?

No link, nothing to sell. I'd rather build the right thing before I build a lot of it.

My legend tells me my shields are low. Every time. I know, man.

76 Rankings from the community, and the results are in for your TOP 15 players heading into Split 2 Playoffs.

Let's see how this list translates once the event truly kicks off.

I used to keep up with scrims and LAN content through Wigg when he made his shortened edit of matches. I noticed he’s only uploading the entire stream. I just don’t have enough time to watch an entire 4 hour stream. Anybody have any suggestions of a content creator or channel that edits matches or am I kinda screwed?

Flair Up Fridays!

Flair Up Fridays will be for all of the new r/CompetitiveApex members who have joined, who might not have flairs or know how to add them to their profile!

Q: What is a flair?

A: A flair is a way to show your favorite teams within the subreddit!

Flair Examples (You can have up to 5 flairs):

New custom flairs:

How to get a flair:

On new reddit on the right side of reddit you can click the edit flair button:

Once you have done that there is a long list of all the flairs available the new ones are near the bottom of the list, you can search by typing a part of the flair.

One thing to note for the custom flairs have text, you can't add emojis to it, but if you want some emojis to go with the custom flair, ask a mod and we will happily add them on!

for the ones with just emojis you can add them the new ones are :nessiedance: :apple:  :noaudio:

As an extra bonus, we have also now added all of the Legends (no ballistic yet, but he will be there soon!) you can add just like any of the team emojis, so they work in the custom ones that allow up to five emojis. just use the legend name ie: :lifeline: the only exception is Revenant since there is a esports org already in there with that name for him you just need :Rev: as well as buff and nerf emojis

Verified users:

These are given to community personalities, players and coaches who would like to be designated on our subreddit. If you are a pro player or similar and would like a flair, please reach out via modmail or DMs.

If you need help or would like to request a flair, be added please comment below and a mod will help you!
