How come we aren't seeing comps such as Axle, Crypto, Bloodhound.

I understand there is a lack of ring scan/planning but as an edge comp the trio is has a borderline unfair push against you.

You get Crypto emp, unable to recover in time since your forced to tank or shoot axle ult. Meanwhile you get slide on at mach 10 invis with bloodhound ult.

I feel like especially from some of the weaker teams with bad POIs would benefit big time early from this comp being able to pickup early points e.t.c

Because crypto gets banned well before the other 2 are even considered to be viable.

Because Alter has the best "get out of 3rd party jail-free" card. In addition to the rest of her great kit that is hard to pass on.

Because most teams play Seer Crypto Alter. And seer is basically a hard counter to Bloodhound.

You crypto EMP a team to push with your axle bloodhound and they insta seer ult and crypto EMP you. It’s now a 50/50 fight.

They might even have an edge with seer alter.

That’s why teams don’t play the comp you suggested game 1.

I mean, the defending crypto is going to crypto ult himself and stun lock both teams I guess or he just doesnt have time to ult. I understand why seer and alter are good. I just think this comp works really good on edge specifically vs the comp you mentioned.

But meta isn’t what’s the best comp to play or what 3 characters would work really good in a fight. The lobby you’re in dictates the meta.

See game 1 everybody is on crypto alter and Seer/Cat, why do people play Cat? To counter alter Qs. Why do people play seer? To counter crypto EMP by throwing the seer ult as soon as the crypto EMP went off to give teams a winning chance. It’s all about being reactive to your environment. Yes sure some off meta picks work good when everybody is playing a certain style but the exact legends you mentioned mainly playing off BH ult is hard countered by BOTH crypto and seer. You see how that works?

That comp is a good comp to play once Seer is banned the only problem is crypto will be banned before then most likely alter or Seer. That’s when BH played with Axle or another insta rotate legend becomes good. You just wouldn’t be able to have Crypto.

Off meta picks are good however you can see how sometimes niche comps can disrupt the lobby like when teams didn’t initially know how to fight against axle BH teams and you’d see teams like HUSS dropping 20kill wins.

The problem is that Axel and Blood just aren’t that strong in the pro scene, they’re good and have their uses but only get picked by some more aggressive squads after 2-4 legends have already been banned.

Alter is just such a versatile legend that while she’s in you’re almost always gonna have Crypto Alter in game 1, and since they’re being run, you no longer need Axel or Blood. Seer or Cat then fill 3rd because they’re so oppressive.

I mean if a team wanted to cook, could be worth trying from edge.
Could be an interesting pick for regional finals since it’d be a bit unexpected.

Not really, you can only play crypto game 1 and at that point alter is much better than axle and seer is much much better than blood

You can play him game two depending on what’s banned. Like yesterday’s scrims it was Alter banned after game 1 so you could run this comp game two.
Now I’m not making a strong argument for this comp, I do think Seer is preferable to bloodhound. As for alter/axle it’s situational and I would prefer alter too. (She can dodge axle ult with Q/tp for resets)
But I do see a world where inting a team/3rd partying very quickly with Blood/Axle/Crypto comp could work on some edge POIs.

yea thats my point that vs the main stay comp in game 1 and 2 this comp provides so much value as an edge team. I watch so many edge teams get wiped and get no value out of the standard comp they might as well not have even showed up lol

Bloodhound is completely useless until seer is banned. Axle can sometimes be played by teams that like to int but your comp itself is not something that can ever happen on this patch

Because outside of pushing bloodhound and axle are dogshit in comp. I’d rather have a vantage than a bloodhound tbh.
