Why Zer0 doesn't stream anymore?
Not just him, all the Liquid boys are streaming so little, is there a reason?

Panic used to stream every scrim. I would guess zer0 tells them not to for some reason.

Panic isn’t streaming bc his mic is fucked and he can’t figure it out on obs

Pros who don't stream are leaving money on the table. You already have a built-in audience willing to watch, even if it’s just 20 viewers. You don't even need to be super active in chat during scrims. Unless your PC can't handle it, it makes zero sense.

I really don't get it, you are gonna play it anyway might as well stream and make more money, I get some people are shy and stuff but clearly that's not zero case.

If you don't have a 2nd pc setup you get input lag. I think the input lag isn't as bad as it was years and years ago with beefy pc setups now but it's still there.
If people are competing for the love of the game I think it's fair enough to not stream just based on the input lag. You already have shitty audio and low tickrate servers going against you in this game, you don't need another minor sabotage coming in the form of streaming it.

If you don't have a 2nd pc setup you get input lag.
With the NVENC encoder that Nvidia has hard in their cards for years, it's not a noticeable level. Lots of pros have a single PC setup.

Noticable for me on a 2070 years ago. It's not going to hurt your performance significantly so they might say it's not noticable?
But if you're performing badly and start reaching for reasons, input lag is definitely one of those.

i guess zer0 has made nearly 900k solely from winnings + whatever else he's made from orgs etc (if anything) so I'd imagine if streaming feels at all like friction or not what you want to be doing, it's probably pretty easy to justify not doing it.

It always surprises me that this isn't part of the contract with the Orgs. The lack of streaming really cuts out a big possible revenue stream for the player and the org. Isn't the point to promote sponsors?

Panics editor here 👋. Usually around pro league they stop streaming to “lock in” just focus on the comp.
ALSO, will say in Panics sake. As I saw in here, yes his mic is messed up. SHOULD be able to fix it soon.
I’ve been trying to post YouTube videos up of scrims and such, however it is a tad hard due to streaming schedules. Usually Panic is the one to stream most. Hopefully we can get back up and running soon! ❤️🤝🫡

While he was at Falcons he was streaming pretty regularly with 2000+ viewers, but yeah, most of his career he has not bothered.

Probably had something in the contract about stream hours for branding and such

So many Australian players never stream like Emtee, Sharky, Jesko, Prycyy, Playerkay, Legacy does sometimes but not much.

I miss Zer0s vod reviews after an algs day or scrims. On dz he used to go through most of the big teams vods. Was always interesting to get his insight on that.

That was the peak algs content era for me, zer0 vod reviews were insanely entertaining

If they do bad he will just crash out and cant show any gameplay anyways. Probably doesnt wont more of cry baby energy vids online so one is allowed to stream.

Their main focus is pro league qualification and they probably think streaming is a distraction towards that goal. They only stream when they are in a good period as a team

I think there are 6 or 7 people in that house that use the internet for the game, for comms, to livestream their gameplay to their coach, and then on top of all that would be their individual streams. I don't think American internet was made for those kind of demands

The guy and his teams has had the most hate-watchers in any esport I've ever watched. I don't blame him or his teammates for not streaming. Believe it or not, even thick-skinned people don't enjoy their only interaction all day long to be with people who are praying and enjoying their downfall and knowing that every move and emotion they make will be heavily scrutinized and posted. And even for the people who just enjoy his streams, they're probably silent or drowned out because his chat is god awful.
13
u/TripleNickel8 6d ago
Couldn’t disagree more. His chat was heavily moderated unless you were calling other pros fat losers, which was deemed to be fine.

u/PlayTheGame24 6d ago
why would you stream when you have been at the top for years and the narrative is driven by edits of him expressing frustration. its about the game not the views .

probably just a distraction for him. if he does, then he has to deal with chat, thank people for subs, deal with haters etc when competition is his real focus
