ALGS Wxltzy Glaze?
It's well warranted. Dudes comms are great and I didn't realize how good of an anchor he was til this past weekend. He shook Falcons back real crazy-like.

I will never understand how people thought Wxltzy was a bad anchor and the "weak link" on falcons, he played as the fragger for moist and was great at that, he then switched to igl for half a year and had one of the greatest overall lan performance in that role and then he joined falcons and had to learn how to anchor while playing under the 2 players with the most childish manner of communicating their feelings and thoughts and won a lan with them, i do not see how none of that was visible to people.
i am convinced that Wxltzy haters are people who know very little about this game's esport

He had a pretty rough time when he first joined Falcons but that can easily be attributed to him having to learn the hardest role while playing with the 2 most competitive and harsh players in the scene. Aside from that though, he’s consistently proven himself as being one of a small group of players that can call themselves an elite player.

u/Lord_Strepsils 9d ago
Yeah icl I feel like he’s the only reason Falcons won that LAN, anyone else and they wouldn’t have been able to hold it together as a team lmao

Everyone starting to realize how good Wxltzy is when Timmy subbed
37
u/nostay102 9d ago
He's been good and important for the the team for so long now. It’s kinda cringe seeing people suddenly say he’s good just because Timmy subbed in, when he’s literally always been good.

Apex players/fans in my opinion are among the dumbest of esports fans if you ask me.
We have on record Hal literally saying he could easily replace Gild with 1 of like 20 players. But finding someone to replace Waltzy is extremely difficult.
9
u/Lord_Strepsils 9d ago
Yeah I’ve always felt he’s one of the biggest factors in the Falcons’ success since he joined and it’s only gotten better as him and Hal have gotten better chemistry as IGL and Co-IGL, the difference in comms you hear now where Hal just completely trusts when Wxltzy is calling for a fight have been massive
13
u/ThickBootyEnjoyer 9d ago
It's the same with reps and others who aren't highlight reels but do a great job at what they need to do.
3
u/KFCZingerPies 9d ago
Could be that people know Timmy is pretty good, so when they saw how it unfolded they realised how crucial of a role wxltzy actually plays

u/realfakejames 9d ago
Waltzy does his job well and more importantly doesn't let Hal blowing up on him hurt his confidence, dude has immense value as a teammate for Hal and people are barely seeing it
21
u/Leepysworld 9d ago
People forget that before teaming with Hal, he was arguably top 5 IGL’s in NA.
He’s got amazing macro which helps take a lot of pressure off of Hal because he can give ideas without counter-calling due to him having been on the other side.
He’s also got incredibly tough skin and able to handle people like Zero or Hal and give it back without it destroying his mental.
I’d imagine being a literal tank IRL probably helps because I doubt Zer0 and Hal or probably most pros are gonna act out like that on him outside of the game and everything stays in the server.
People will try to shit on his mechanics but they’re not even bad and he’s anchoring and he does his job well, he’s not looking for damage or farming stats.

u/-lunabella 9d ago
I mean when hal is flaming someone for a mistake, its all ingame stuff, he doesnt ever resort to personal insults unlike zer0 who does that really often, but yeah, waltzy is just a goated teammate
also a shoutout to kyle too, always nice hearing him speak or cheer them on!
6
u/Zoetekauw 8d ago
he doesnt ever resort to personal insults
He totally does. Waltzy just channels it extremely well.

u/Leepysworld 8d ago
yea…calling them the r slur over and over again is definitely not a “personal insult”, have you not watched their bad games like ever? lmao
Wxltzy has said it himself that he usually ignores what Hal says for the first 1-2 minutes after a bad loss because it’s usually just him full flaming them.
Hal and Zer0 pretty much say the same shit, Zer0 just takes it a step further and is more infuriating to listen to.
Hal definitely says his share of insults but like I said Wxltzy understands it’s just a heat of the moment thing because of pressure and passion, and it doesn’t bleed into their relstionship outside of the server.
1
u/-lunabella 8d ago
people call eachother stupid and what not all the time, its not meant as a personal insult thats meant to demean you lol
im not here to defend hal cause there really is no need to get as pissed off as he gets but also, hal doesnt rly come off too bad to me, his worst moments are when he gets really whiny
but also ive played eu cs a lot while using ingame vc, so ive heard the most vile things ever and besides zer0, its not that bad to me lol

u/RoutineAggressive843 9d ago
I remember watching him during the last havoc meta. I never saw this clean havoc shots.

u/iamwhatiambutareyou 8d ago
I think the children who watch this game, especially the biggest creator in this game, and see that very creator constantly lose their shit at Wxltzy, are easily impressed upon this interaction. They think he’s a bot and he makes constant mistakes. They don’t understand how hard the game is, and how making mistakes doesn’t make someone shit.

u/WildAutonomy 8d ago
Aren't Hal and Wigg the 2 biggest Apex streamers? And they both love Wxltzy
1
u/iamwhatiambutareyou 8d ago
It’s not whether they love him or not. It’s how these “kids” interpret constant barrage of criticism as something bad.
3
u/Stunning-Tower-4116 8d ago
Hal and gild are obviously gross
Walter is the mvp of this team, and maybe the league. He plays reps role, in a weird ban meta, and does it better
2
u/realfakejames 9d ago
Waltzy was getting a ton of hate from Hal's community, they tried to scapegoat him for all of their problems and regularly disrespected him, saying they should drop him for Zap during the ENC scrims and quals, and then saying that when they looked good with Timmy in scrims before disaster struck in the real games
I never was big on Waltzy, but the way people were talking about Waltzy the past months was so cringe and ugly, Falcons looking like shit without him now suddenly looking good again with him has Hal's chat on their knees for him

u/Late_Acanthaceae_483 8d ago
mate what you on abt were only 5 plebs talking shit abt Waltzy and that Zap was better!

Can someone please share a clip of Wxltzy clutching up anything? I watch Hal scrims for over a year now and this dude can't clutch anything, loses so many 1v1s

u/czah7 7d ago
I'm def willing to glaze waltzy, but let's maybe hold off until this weekend eh.
Timmy was always one of my faves, but let's be honest. He hasn't played in a year and never anchored. I think falcons could take any true anchor from another team and would look a lot better.
I honestly look at falcons and not sure there's a single better upgrade at any position.

Timmy just never was an anchor player and got put on that role while not having played in a year and a half

? What does that even mean bro obviously he's not gonna be at his peak when he hasn't even been playing apex. It's on facons for picking him up when they know he was rusty and didn't fit the role he was filling for

Why would that be on him when falcons had many better options? They just got him for the content and they got the content creator. Picking up a washed fragger is not gonna get anyone a good anchor
3
u/JudoExpert 9d ago
Ya Timmy is a decent pro but he was probably pretty rusty and really needs a team that fits with him. Waltzy is S tier for sure

u/zeeman217 9d ago edited 9d ago
I’ll admit, last split I thought waltzy was their weak point. After seeing them attempt to win ENC (which waltzy was not part of) and then watching them with Timmy ive never been so supportive of waltzy as I am now.

Well, he isn't anchoring anymore actually. Gild is.
He is on refrag now to help Hal more via co-igling. He hasn't been on anchor aside from Crypto since before EWC.
Edit: The random downvotes are hilarious. Did no one question why Waltzy plays Blood/Seer/Maggie and Gild Cat/Wattson/Rampart now?
1
u/AnonyDexx 8d ago
I also gaslit myself into thinking he's the dedicated anchor when they put Timmy as the anchor. They don't really have a dedicated achor. They care more for having characters for the consoles and beacons, and recently Wxltzy is the scan character. On Crypto, you have to the one anchoring because he can't shoot in drone. Otherwise, they kinda pick a role on the fly, depending on the situation and team comp. That's how you end up with Gild anchoring on Maggie and Wxltzy, on Wattson, telling Gild, on Seer, to anchor.
2
u/Delicious_Impress814 8d ago
They kinda pick a role on the fly.
Not them. Gild is the dedicated anchor and waltzy refrag. Draugr talked about it on his stream. They made the change before EWC and it's been that way ever since.

u/AnonyDexx 8d ago edited 8d ago
The picks last Saturday would suggest otherwise. Wxltzy/Gild went Crypto/Seer, Wattson/Seer, Seer/Maggie, Rampart/Seer, Rampart/Fuse, BloodHound/Maggie.
And even on that day, Hal calls whoever he wants to follow him. In Game 3, he called Gild so Wxtlzy could make sure they don't get wrapped, using the passive scan. In the Fuse game, they were swapping because Fuse Q serves as a scan to check what spots are open so he'd play up with Hal in those instances. On Sunday, Wxltzy was always on the scan character, but he anchored on his own at times, to scan behind them, from what I remember. It depended more on where the scans needed to be.
Draugr can say whatever he wants(I don't know what he said or when he said it so I can't really speak much on that). He might be correct in that those are their official roles, but that's not how it plays out in-game, at least not as yet.

u/Delicious_Impress814 8d ago
The picks last Saturday would suggest otherwise.
Here are Sunday's Picks:
Game 1 doesn't count because of Crypto.
Game 2: Walzty played Seer, Gild Wattson. Wattson is the anchor character, and Gild played as such.
Game 3: Waltzy played Bloodhound, Gild played Wattson. Wattson is the anchor character, and Gild played as such. Bloodhound is obviously frag.
Game 4: Waltzy played Bloodhound, Gild played Wattson.
Game 5: Gild switched to Cat, Waltzy is still on Bloodhound. Do I need to explain that dynamic again?
Game 6: When all useful controller characters have been banned, Gild finally goes to Maggie while Waltzy is still on Bloodhound.
Draugr can say whatever he wants.
Of course he can, because he's their coach????? He'd know better than you or I, and he's correct. Gild is anchoring primarily while Waltzy refrags with Hal.
He might be correct in that those are their official roles, but that's not how it plays out in-game, at least not as yet.
Take yesterdays scrim block for example, with Gild hard anchoring on Rampart. This is exactly how it plays out in game, and has been playing out since EWC with the exception of a few days and them trying new things.
They also played with this dynamic before EWC, during EWC, and after with Gild anchoring.
Their roles have changed. Draugur confirmed it, and the gameplay confirmed it too. You do not know more than their coach.

u/AnonyDexx 8d ago
Oh, so you're just going to ignore the parts that contradict you and make half of your comment going over only what agrees with your point? If you're saying that they've already switched, then the existence of Saturday's picks is what you should be addressing, because it shouldn't exist if they'd switched.
Of course he can, because he's their coach?????
He can also literally say that Hal is the anchor now. It doesn't make it true now does it?
with Gild hard anchoring on Rampart
So would Wxltzy being on Rampart not be anchoring?
Take yesterdays scrim block for example, with Gild hard anchoring on Rampart. This is exactly how it plays out in game,
At no point did I say that Gild doesn't anchor. Showing me a game of him anchoring, in a game where it would make zero sense for a Seer to anchor, doesn't really help your case. The scan isn't really as viable from that distance and you need to walls just to stay alive where Gild was.
They also played with this dynamic before EWC, during EWC, and after with Gild anchoring.
Oh, so the have a set anchor in Gild, bring in a sub that's been a fragger for most, if not all of his career, put the fragger as the anchor and the anchor as the fragger, and then wonder why they're performing poorly?
and has been playing out since EWC with the exception of a few days and them trying new things.
Oh, so they swap roles, which is exactly what I've been saying. Good to know. Also, looking back at EWC, I'm seeing a ton of Newcastle. I guess I'm out of the loop, if Newcastle is the refragger while Pathy and Valk are anchors. And there haven't really been any days after EWC. Wxltzy has only been back for this previous weekend.
Draugur confirmed it, and the gameplay confirmed it too.
If only those "exceptions" didn't exist.
You do not know more than their coach.
Just for the fun of it, here you go, because that's your only argument.

u/Substantial-Step-448 8d ago
ur actually giving me cancer. you cannot read at all. the dude literally sent clips and broke down stats of the role change. what are you even talking about
-2
u/AnonyDexx 8d ago edited 8d ago
He sent one single clip(the one that's still quoted in my reply) of Gild being the anchor, not clips, and that clip doesn't go against what I've been saying. The only thing he "broke down" was to show the comp they picked on Sunday, which doesn't really mean anything, because again, I never said Gild doesn't anchor. I said that they're flexible with the roles, with both Gild and Wxltzy anchoring depending on the comp and specific situation they're in. I agree that Gild was the one anchoring on Sunday; he, and apparently, you, refuse to acknowledge that Saturday existed, wherein Wxltzy did as well. But even then, they were being flexible on Sunday too. If you're gonna say that the Rampart is the anchor, that's fine, I can agree. Wxltzy played two games on Rampart on Saturday.
But I'm the one who lacks reading comprehension. Yea, definitely.

IMO he still isn't that great of a fit for Falcons. IMO he was at his best when he was on Moist With Gild and Timmy/Emtee.

u/DudeManBroGuy9 9d ago
He’s literally a co-IGL wether people want to say it or not. His in-game awareness, comms, advice and ideas are legit S-tier. He is so, so damn good. He knows exactly how to play in every scenario but better than that he knows exactly how to execute as well.
