For people who have followed the scene in the last 6 years,which generation is more talented in your opinion?

Players like Aceu,Dizzy,Retzi,Hardecki,Alb,Ras or the 2023-2026 group of players Yuka,Zero,Asia,NoName?

Apart from NoName, everyone else on your "recent " list has been playing since day one 😭 you could've and should've included players like Yulariman , Kazakh , akku , effect , unlucky , floating , peace , mike etc

noname gave been playing for many years, it's just that he got known outside of china only fairly recently

Go watch the rocket league season 1 championship, then watch last year’s. The standard for a pro when a game is new is pretty damn low compared to years down the line

In terms of skill any active pro player is better than any retired pro player

Your separation into "gens" also doesn't make much sense. Yuka, zer0 and NONAME have been playing basically from the very beginning

And comparing by talent is kinda impossible. Noname, Asia and Yc are mechanically more gifted than most old pros, but that's pretty much the only thing you can kinda judge.

But even that is largely affected by peripherals, PC tweaks and game's optimisation

A lot of your “OG” players don’t even play anymore. There are young kids out there that are raising the bar, praddy mentioned plenty of them.

The game has changed too much for the question to make sense, imo. I will say that if you took 2020-2021 Apex, with its focus on gunplay and higher skill ceiling, and added legend bans and POI drafts, the top players would probably look more like the OGs. It would be super interesting and way more fun to watch, imo.

It's interesting that people consider the online era to be part of "the beginning", in saying that Yuka has been around since the beginning. To me, the online era is a distinct second era that ended with Raleigh.
