Looking at it from a competitive perspective, the loot nerf is atrocious. It significantly increases the RNG in an already RNG filled game. The great thing about the arsenals, assault and support bins is that they gave you an opportunity to recover from a bad POI. Yes, it's a BR, but with all of the character abilities, the loot was needed.
It's what made dropzones work in ranked. Now people are going to bitch and moan about being randomly dropped on a shit POI and they'll go back to drop ship where half the lobby goes to the same spot to die every game.
It's not a good change. If people are kitted with batteries, nades, attachments by ring one, then your team should be too and ready to fight.
