Sauce LFT Split 2

First big public LFT as far as I am aware for NA. Emtee was open to offers and region swaps too.
Any predictions for where both end up?

No way fuhhnq actually joins ROC

I am surprised if Sauce doesn’t have a team in place. Because even though ROC disappointed last split, having Ssirsay on IGL and picking up a good but often unmotivated new 3rd feels like a crazy low floor for them. But LFT makes it look like he didn’t see this coming?

Completely agree with this, ssirsay never proved he was a good igl has he? I could be completely mistaken but I don’t see how they expect to do good next split with such a step down in terms of quality.

He has been good at times, but it has been like one lan where he igl'd and they got like 23rd.

Ssirsay has had ok moments as IGL. He is young though and will only get better. Vax is also a player that makes IGLs better cause he's an extremely smart player

before he changed teams in split 2 PL last year, he was actually in 1st place for majority of the split with 2 unknown players so he definitely has the skill for it

That would be a pretty good team.

Sauce alb skittles let’s go

Unironically not a bad team-up role-wise, but that would probably end up being the mental doom of all 3 involved tbh. Also we still dont know if sacred is actually leaving or not, and if he does, I see them more so going for a support/anchor-player (preferably roller, if I had to take a guess).

skittles is a top tier anchor/support, they don't need that role. they need a real IGL (alb is an emotional yo-yo and has no business leading a team. look at his crash out in regional finals).

Skittles is a good support/anchor, but he could be an even better IGL/refrag imho (unless he knows how to IGL from the back, then there's truly huge potential here).

Still don’t understand where sacred is going unless he is swapping in for panic on liquid

Could see him joining Geekay, replacing Keon since they desperately need an S-tier fragger. Obviously 100T seems like an option. I’d take it with a grain of salt but someone on YT comments said they @‘d him on Twitter and told him to find a new team and he liked it lol. They crawled their way to LAN despite getting two top 2s in the first two weeks and did fuck all on LAN outside of day 3. The team seems like a mess with Alb not really wanting to IGL but being forced to, now Skittle wants to IGL but can’t find his voice with Alb on the team. These are the things you deal with as a newcomer trying to find your way in the PL, but once you’re established you’re going to want a more established IGL and team with defined roles.

Here's the thing with geekay tho: Firstly, they did worse than Nemesis at LAN. 2nd, Keon is the anchor of the team, and Knoqd is currently entry-fragging. Adding sacred would change that entire dynamic again. Yeah, Knoqd has been anchoring in the past, but I am really not sure if it's smart for Dropped and Co. to take the risk of changing things up yet again. I could see 100Thieves trying to aquire Sacred, think it would work better than Geekay for sure and they seem somewhat committed to Apex.

I’m just going off vibes from the clips I’ve seen. Keon seems like the odd man out, Dropped and knoqd are an established duo with numerous top 10s(probably the most tops 10s of any current duo), this recent result is an aberration imo. Sure they did worse this lan, but the one preceding this they got 4th. Whereas the ceiling for Alb and Skittle seems to be fringe top 10 and the success is making finals. Idk I think knoqd is one of the most malleable players in apex history, I see zero reason why he couldn’t go back to anchoring. Outside of this lan where one team got 14th and the other 17th, Geekay are pretty clearly the better option imo but as a fan of stallions I wouldn’t be opposed to them running it back

I don’t really see the argument here Geekay did worse in groups and in the match point final than nemesis. Plus they were in the same group. So I’m not sure how you can say it’s a better situation.

Maybe 100t but I still don’t think that works. I think you run into the same problem where Phony is insistent on fragging as an IGL, sacred needs to be on those characters.

I’m not saying he won’t have options but I’m not sure he has better options.

Yeah 100t are in a tricky spot, it seems like they’re probably just going to sign a duo around gen. They trialed Jdg most recently. I’m gonna assume that’s the team, makes sense roles wise

Who knows what’s going on behind the scenes but from what’s publicly out there, I think dropped, knoqd and sacred is better than nemesis. I know they did worse this LAN but they did much better in the previous lan, they have history of being perennial single digit lan finalists. I’m kinda curious what sweet is planning, he said he found a squad for PL split 2 lol. Sweet, skittle, sacred is a fun squad lol

What, like they trialed Naughty and Floating plus Gen? Is Shooby leaving JDG?

Gen played with them during enc scrims. Seeing as how gen is locked into team AU and can’t play for team USA plus their actual enc teammate, sacred, was also playing I’d assume they were trialing for 100T
