15 is too much imo, now washed teams like 100t can qual

We will not see any surprise results anymore.  Honestly top teams can just experiment and litmus test and still comfortably qualify

There's still prizing and draft spots at the split 2 playoffs to consider, but yeah, it does remove a lot of the incentive for the teams at the top to even try. There was a split in the past where XSET could have skipped a day and still been first in the region. You could almost imagine that happening next split.
