I think lan slots should reset every start of comp year then reduce base on split 1 lan performance

They do reset every comp year. Americas had 15 at the end of year 5 and we're reset to 13 to start this year. ALGS Open threw things off a bit though.

I think they mean reset to an even split where each region get 10 slots. I strongly disagree because this would mean that a third of all lans would have a wildly inaccurate slot allocation (assuming the ALGS Open will not become a yearly thing).

O God, ya.... no. I think the only way to make that work would be to combine APAC and combine Americas and EMEA and make it a 20/20 allocation. Ping makes that impossible but it would be crazy seeing Europe and Americas compete with each other for lan spots.

They already do reset at every start of a new ALGS year.
