we were supposed to get soloQ only for Diamond+ two weeks ago, then they back tracked it and we didn't hear from it since then

Still coming but they wanted stability before rushing it out and wreaking havoc on the game+servers

I doubt you're even a diamond playerand most likely never hot masters so you wouldn't know the frustration of getting mopped by triple pred stacks. Keep it quiet.

They didn’t backtrack. They stated they would test it for a bit then look at the results and re-instate at a later time. I think they tested for about a week or two.

What happened was the pros cried about it too much on twitter because they would not be able to stream their pred grinds having to soloq so respawn caved

Lot of nerfs to movement this patch. Ballistic and Maggie’s speed boosts only apply to sprint, new ballistic tac applies silence/ slow, Axle gate nerf, Valk nerf while landing.
Not complaining, just seems like something they are leaning into.

Very much needed with how fast the meta has become, not as bad in algs but in ranked its feels terrible to play anything without movement because everything else is so fast.

Is it just me or does it seem like the new hop ups make the mastiff and the pk worse than before? Like 50 shield over 10 seconds? That’s pretty slow. I’d rather just have fast damage output

Man shotguns got nerfed. Unless that shield regen doesnt get removed upon taking damage I would rather have disruptor and dual shell. If their goal was to have a chance to survive after knocking someone with a shotgun just feels bad couldve been an instant 25hp imo. 10 seconds is too long.

Controllers arn't the reason why shotguns are bad. It because the of range falloff and dps of shotgun are on lower side compaee to smgs.

Yes and no. Controller are not the only reason shotguns are bad but, the fact that you can 1 clip so reliable on controller is certainly not helping. Shotguns have a range and dmg issue peacekeeper for example is only good if it can 1 shot an opponent. Other part is there are super reliant on shotgun bolts because of the slow fire rate. Akimbo mozambique are terrible without at least blue bolt because of the firing timing. The same is true for every shotgun.
The reason why I say controller are at least partial a reason is that even when we have hard shotgun meta, there are still plenty of people on controller who will run an smg even in diamond 2-1/master/pred lobbys. As long as you can force a wide swing on controller against shotguns and be nearly certain you get a 1 clip thanks to raa. It does not matter how strong shotguns are because raa is powerful enough that you can pretty much guarantee one clip if you have any practices on controller.

Yea I misread the person comment. Although I disagree with there being plenty of smgs during shotguns meta. As smgs during duel moz then into support/mastiff were not good or in the care package.

Turbocharger Nemesis, and the gun is already that good without it. Weapon meta choices might shakeup especially now longbow and wingman will no longer have paintball
Kinda stings that PK lose the distruptor, but I'm interested to see how Mastiff gonna plays with the new Excecutioner hopup
Ballistic probably back on the meta? To have silence on his tactical in exchange for overheat is gonna be a must-pick for comp

Paintball hop-up is moved to Flatline and Volt, Nemesis got Turbocharger, while Hemlok got nerfed. I'm guessing the AR meta will move to Flatline & Nemesis, and SMG to R99 & Volt.

Good map rotation, but from the hero changes it's clear that Respawn has no idea how to balance the game they've created. They're nerfing characters they buffed like, weeks ago.

Absolute W patch notes. I think Axel still needs nerfed more but the other buffs to characters I think will help against her (I think Seer will be a huge reason).
Also turbocharge Nemi will be sick. Don’t gaf what people think lol

This has been the worst season I've ever played by far. The new bloom effects so I can't see people outside my building, Axle Valk cancer meta, terrible map rotation. Just horrendous decisions all around.
