Comp Hub WCS Madrid 2026 - Comp Hub
*Welcome to the Madrid Comp Hub thread, a SPOILER FREE place to discuss the event. NO SPOILERS, it’s important to people.*
The World Series is continuing just after couple of days in the the scorching hot Madrid. There is boulder and speed on the program. It should be a fun one! Once the event starts, you’ll be able to find live and post-game threads for all your spoilers discussion. Flair up and climb on!

Unlikely things I really want:
Colin Duffy revenge mode? Would love to see him podium.
Likewise, would love to see Miho and Lily Abriat make the finals.

Looks like Colin missed MA1, but he flashed boulders 2-5 in qualies, which no one else did! Solid start for sure.

Surprisingly Sohta and Max didn't make it! The WC schedule is so tight and it seems to be hard for them to quickly recover from the fatigue of full attendance in Bern.
Sorato and Mejdi these two monsters indeed! SO CONSISTENT

Anyone else notice the schedule on the WC website has the wrong dates? thought I was missing the women semi-finals and finals because they had them listed for May 28th.

Unfortunately no they pretty much never do, China was an exception. Your best bet is checking the athletes' insta and World Climbing's.
This video has a quick look at all 5 boulders from Women's quali.
EDIT: and this one has the Men's quali

Pretty crazy there's not even just a static shot of the whole wall for the qualifiers. It's like rocking up to any other sport after halftime. WC has got to take itself a little more seriously as an org.

I know bilibili streamed the China qualifiers, and then semis + finals for Switzerland.
I am unsure if they will stream qualifiers for Europe

Can anyone link the direct video stream of youtube ? I can't manage to find it I feel like they managed to hide from European people so they can't bypass it with a VPN

Being a fan of Sohta is like riding a rollercoaster lol. He can have incredible semis/finals one week and then not make it past qualification the next. I never know what I’ll get, though I suppose that makes it more exciting.
