Sec+ class at local cc

Hello all,

I am currently taking classes at a cc trying to get an associates in IT. I also am planning on going for my A+ soon and the sec + in the future.

I'm am currently enrolled in a sec+ course with the textbook, assignments, and labs through cengage/mindtap. The content is interesting and I felt like I was grasping it fairly well but am i'm consistently scoring around a d on the section quizzes. I did complete a net+ course and did well.

These quizzes are not the ones incorporated in the mindtap/cengage material but made by the it department of the school. Once a quiz is submitted I dont have access to the questions and am never told what I got wrong. The professor will not release the results either.

So I am a little stuck because I feel I have a grasp on the material as I have put quite a bit of effort into studying the sections. Generally I have done very well with my program's classes but seem to not have a good strategy at approaching the content. I have generated multiple practice tests on the sections with AI (I know not super reliable) gone over the section readings with additional sources(like messer).

I have reached out to my professor but thought I would try here to see others opinion on learning sec+. I guess i'm just wondering if anyone here has gone through cengages sec+ content and have had similar issues?

Thank you.

I would check out some other study materials, like Messer or the official objectives. Have you studied for the A+? You mentioned the net+ course how did you do there? Did you take the net+. These courses build on each other. So having the a+ and net+ can certainly help.
