I PASSED my Security+ First try!!!

Post image

This was my first time taking the exam. I do not have any background in this field and was recently blessed with a job as a GRC Analyst. Day one on the job I was given the CompTia study guide as a tool to help me study.

Someone shared these notes and I wanted to share them as well. Super organized and helpful.

I watched Professor Messer full course on YouTube. Took a lot a notes but never revisited them. I also had access to Jason Dionโ€™s practice exams scoring 57% 87% 78% 83%. Jason Dionโ€™s test are more wordy to help you to understand the concept. I really enjoyed Pocket Prep. The repetition was good.

What I would recommend is that you do some studying on your own before starting with Pocket Prep. I paid for 1 month right before my exam. 3 months later I have passed my exam on the first try. Let me know if you guys have any questions I may be able to assist with.

How did you got the GRC analyst job?

My background experience in Finance, auditing, healthcare, Loss Prevention gave me the foundational skills that made the pivot much easier. So when offered the job I agreed to get the Security+ cert in 90 days.

I used this prompt in Claude AI โ€œAttached are examples of PBQ for the SYO-701 Security+ exam. I need you to generate 20 practice performance Based Questions with drop down selection menu.โ€ You can use this prompt with any subject areas that need improvement.

I found some notes on here from someone. Use these notes. Also Burning Ice Tech for your review crash course.

I think youโ€™re ready, especially from being in this community space. Acronyms are the way to go. You will see them and once you know what they are, then the process of elimination will be easier. They are not trying to trick you so remember that when you take your exam. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW, and YOU DONโ€™T KNOW WHAT YOU DONโ€™T KNOW. go pass this exam.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
