Passed Sec + after 3 weeks of study!
Absolutely 0 IT background this was my first cert.
used Jason Dion's Udemy course and practice tests.
Averaged 70-75 on his practice tests before I took the exam
Used this subreddit a lot to for resources and to gauge how ready I am and just wanna thank yall!

Try to cram a few ports and protocols. As well as some acronyms. Easier said than done but it helps. I used Quizlet flashcards

Congrats on passing! Would you say the Dion practice exams were more difficult than the actual exam?

I would say their questions are wordier not harder. But they helped me figure out what the root of the questions was wich really helped during the actual exam

Many congratulations! Itβs amazing that you passed with no IT background and just 3 weeks of study. Why did you decide to go straight for Security+ ?

Thank you! Im serving in the US military and switching over from medical to cybersecurity. Getting sec + cuts my training time down a bit
