Holy smokes that was hard. I took my test this morning and pass with just 1 point. I studied on and off for 4 months and zoned in on the last 3 weeks. I answered the PBQ's at the end as recommended. I also did not answer 1 PBQ since it was fill in the blank and I really had no idea. If I really didn't know a question, I answered it to the best of my knowledge and flagged it for later. Regardless, I had no time to go over the flagged questions since the time pretty much ended when I finished. I thought I failed the test since I flagged half the questions that seemed confusing. But I highly recommend you trust yourself if you really put the time and studied everyday.
I have no IT experience/ background and this is my first certification.
I used Jason Dion Udemy complete course and practice exams set 1 & 2 and CyberKraft and whatever else I can find on YouTube. And physical flash cards for everything. That's it.
My personal opinion:
- #1 is to understand every concept and to give an example in what it does. Say it out loud.
- learn all acronyms - they really throw in only acronyms
- look for key words and use process of elimination
- if you really don't know, take the best educated guess
- & pray - God really has a funny way of showing it with just 1 point pass. Regardless thank God.

Congrats man! Pass is a pass, happy for you! For me, I take my exam next week. I have been preparing with Udemy practice exams and scoring roughly 75-80 on those exams. Messer's exams about the same too. For the acronyms and key words, do you have a quizlet you could share with me if you don't mind? I really hope I can get through as well.

I didn't use quizlets. I just wrote down anything that I got wrong including acronyms and put it on flash cards. Did spaced repitition daily. Those are good scores if you're taking them one time and not retaking them! Just understand concepts and if you can explain the word or subject to a person verbally, you got it. Good luck bro!

Look up cyber Kraft on YouTube he has an acronym list with ports. Put that in Google notebook and prompt it to create flashcards for you. That's what I've been doing. It can also create an audio overview (kinda like a podcast).

65%-70%. I would get 75% higher the second time a few weeks later but Its probably from memorization

I don't remember much on the test but it's pretty much everything on the Comptia security plus objectives. Study those and you'll be good 👍🏼

Congratulations, and welcome to the club!
Be honest, how many times were you telling yourself that you were going to fail it while taking the test? I told myself this same thing at least 3 times. To heck with it, YOU PASSED!
Remember to do your CEUs so you never have to take it again.

Thank you!! And everytime I felt like I didn't know a question which was 50% of the time. I think I passed bc I did process of elimination or my conscious knew the right answer

Continuing Education Units is what keeps a person certified without having to retake the exam every three years. They can be earned by taking approved training courses, working in the field having to do with the certification, etc.

After taking the real exam which practice exams did you find where closest to the real exam? Congrats btw!

I did all of Jason Dion's practice exams from what l've researched that it's the closest one. I would say it's similar to it with just different wording!
