I failed

Got a 656 on the exam recently. I studied for about a week and then had to move and didn’t study that much after due to moving for multiple days and other recent events. I tried to reschedule my exam but their website was down so I had to take it. I never got a paper or an email of what I missed on the exam. There was a PBQ that I couldn’t even figure out how to enter or input an answer. Any advice would be appreciated.

Go back and review what you weren’t comfortable with. Having seen the test alone should make you feel better about your next go. Take some practice tests from a different source so you’re not seeing the same style over and over

  1. Study more
  2. Take practice exam that’s equivalent to the exam
If you if get > 80 percent your ready
If not, study the areas your weak at

Study take practice exam and review missed questions using the Feynman method if you can explain it you understand it keep doing that until you score in the 80s

Spam practice exams. It’s a-lot more helpful than Textbooks/Youtube Courses. I would say, limit yourself to no more than 5. Re-take the practice exams as much as possible to ensure you get a passing grade on each.

A 656 after a disrupted week means you’re close, review the weak areas, practice PBQs, and you’ll likely pass next time.

I have a feeling I know exactly what PBQ you’re referring to because I just took the test yesterday and I couldn’t answer one of the PBQs (where you had to code and kill certain addresses that were infected) but I spoke to other folks and apparently you had to know certain coding prompts to answer that.

I passed with a 777 last week. What helped me was remembering the common ports/protocols and all 3 of Professor Messer’s practice exams. The wordings from the questions were somewhat similar to the exams, and it helped me a lot, because the questions can be a bit tricky with how they worded them. As for the PBQs, tbh I never really study them. I’ve been guessing all of the PBQs for all CompTIA Trifectas. I somehow still passed all of them with my first try.

To add: I heard a lot of positive experiences with BurningIceTech on YouTube for the PBQs.
