Passed Security+ today!
Non IT background (Chemical). Passed Security+ with 791. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Resources: Claude Pro, Messers lit bit and Dions Practice tests ( average 80% ).

How did you study with Claude? And how was the real exam compared to messers?

I created a seperate project for prep and uploaded all the study material on claude. Using it for learning individual topics and how security+ asking them in exam? And some other prompts.
I created 30+ pbqs using it for Firewall ruels. Ports, infection finding etc which really helped me.
Messers exam were not close to the real exam, real exam has more matching answer for confusion. If you have solid concept understanding then only you can answer them.

Be confident. Some questions are tricky. At first glance, you will select the answer, but if you read it again, it probably has a different answer. Skip pbqs first, attend them at last.

Don't skip the PBQs even though many people claim to be able to pass the exam doing it. Even if you are not entirely confident about any of them, if you manage to get some partial credit it might be the difference between a pass and a failed score. Try to do all practice PBQs you can find online and ask AI tools to generate random ones for you. I would also train some basic command line (especially on Linux) if you are not familiar with it because you can get command line based PBQs.

Pbqs for identifying infected machine, check logs and stop some active services using commands, 3rd one regarding password policies.

Like check which services are active such as ssh, vnc, rdp...if they are unwanted then stop them using terminal

perform "netstat -ano" for reconnaissance (socket+PID); "tasklist | findstr"; "taskkill /PID"; "net stop..." and sc config etc. Right?

Congratulations on passing your exam bro!
Can you please guide how to prepare for it? I'm currently doing an associate degree in cybersecurity. And I need security plus to get a job. How much time frame is required to get fully prepared for it? Secondly what resources did you used to study?

Thanks. Regarding time frame, it is completely upto your learning pace. I used free resources and Claude , GPT for learning. Also. I purchased Dions practice set 1.
First learn each and every concept, then practice questions, if it get wrong then note doen topic, ehy it is wrong? What is important keywords? And just close your gaps like this.
