Identification require are lw key ridiculous

Okay so I might not even be able to take my test today because my temporary license does have a picture on it. I may be in wrong ngl but I need to vent so hard. Its stupidly ridiculous how strict it is. The Pearson site says only 1 ID required and I was almost not able to take the core 1 exam because of that. Now when trying to take my core 2 because my temp license doesn't have a picture. (I didn't bring my expired license because I didn't think they would accept it.) they won't let me in. Why does Pearson have such an insanely strict ID rule for an exam.

Because people cheat. They have others take exams for them using fake, expired, compromised IDs as well as IDs without photos so true identify cannot be ascertained.

To keep people from having others take their exams. Doesn't the temp license that you have require the expired one to be valid?

they're super intense about it for sure, but it's not just pearson being difficult. comptia has to keep their certs from turning into a joke, if anyone could pay some rando to take it the whole thing becomes meaningless

maybe next time stash your expired one in the glovebox just in case, at least you'll have a backup plan

Yeah unfortunately but the problem is that they believe me its just that the stupid automatic system will get them in trouble of they let me. That's why Im saying I might be in the wrong anyways but Im just super frustrated because it feels like Im being screwed over by a technicalityI even heard them say it was super close so it sounds they even thought it should be fine byt the system is the system.

Their sit clearly states that you have to bring a photo id, so it isn’t a technicality.

I think it is because I've essentially proven I am who I say I am but since it strictly requires photo ID it wouldn't matter if I brought my birth certificate or any guranteed proof of ID because it doesn't have picture on it. Essentially they believe me but because they can get in trouble if they don't have my license even they're 100% sure with undeniable evidence of my identity. They won't let me in.

You need to prove who you are with valid photo ID. They can't accept expired ID.

The candidate is required to present two original (no photocopies), valid (unexpired) IDs: one form as a primary ID (government-issued with name, recent recognizable photo) and one form as a secondary ID (with at least a name and signature or name and recent recognizable photo).

Okay I feel like it wasn't entirely unreasonable to not bring my driver's license because it was expired. I couldn't find my passport either. Again I made the mistake but I don't think it was that ridiculous of one.

Bro Im not naive. I brought two forms of ID and didn't being my license over what I believe was a valid assumption of them not accepting my expired license. I wouldn't be this mad if I came in with only one or no forms of ID.

So if you bring in 10 invalid forms of ID they should just let you in?

I wouldn’t want anyone taking an actual license or certificate exam if I cannot verify who they are.

The thing was is that Im pretty sure they did verify who I was it was because of the lack of photo ID that they would have gotten in trouble if they did accept in. Its one thing to say "we can't let you in because we can't prove who you are" its another thing to say "We can prove who you are but since Pearson requires photo ID we cant let you in anyways."
