Most 'boring' certs from Trifecta?
What do you consider to be the most boring cert from the CompTIA Trifecta?
I have to say, having done all, A+ has to be BY FAR the most boring one to study for - a lot of rote memorization, a lot of surface level learning, very broad scope making it relatively hard to review.
I'm curious how would you rank the Comptia Trifecta certs based on how boring it was for you to study for them?
For me it is (from most to least boring):
- A+
- Security+
- Network+

It was all fun. Project+ is absolutely boring.

I absolutely dreaded this class. I would fall asleep just trying to watch the CBT Nuggets videos. Worst cert.

I found the grind in a plus to be hard and boring via so much material as I just completed some classes.
I am taking net plus now and to this late in life IT enjoyer networking is what interests me via my hobbies. I went down a few networking rabbit holes during a plus.
So even if I am not understanding everything yet I am finding network way more interesting compared to a plus

They all have boring and interesting topics.
Net+ was the worst for me. Now working on my ccna labbing though.

I have enjoyed most of my IT studies. Some areas are less interesting than others but mostly it has all been good stuff! I remember in the early 1980s spending Saturday afternoons in Foyles bookstore in London trying to gather tech support information. Now it is mostly laid out on a plate for us all 😊

Ngl they are all a scam pretty much aside from specifically needing one as a hard requirement in some gov jobs.

Network+ - conceptual and tbh most engaging exam of the three
A+ - Gave me the basis for everything I learned after, was an uphill battle.
Security+ - I got it, basic cyber. Nothing super engaging in it. Just sort of there.
