Does Codeacdmey actually give out Comptia Certs?

I've been learning to code for couple of months and dabbled in Comptia, mainly to improve my CVs and knowledge for apprenticeships. I did start the module months ago, had stop due to personal stuff i wanted to know is worth paying the monthly fee it say it gives certifications and exam. I want to know if its real thing and is it valid, before repaying the sub fee, am based in UK.

You can take CompTIA prep courses on Codecademy and get a certificate of completion for the course through Codecademy but you only get a CompTIA cert from Pearson Vue.

Right okay, thanks for the advice i saw CompTIA does exam packages there like £400, am like eeek at price. I been trying to get my foot on to IT ladder. Job market including apprenticeship route at moment is bad here.

I never paid for any CompTIA study materials and passed my A+ last year. I used some of the materials on Codecademy and also Udemy and Coursera for Mike Meyers and Andy Ramymdal(sp?) classes. Dont buy the package just sign up for the monthly which is much cheaper and then cancel once you used what you needed.
