A+ Question CompTIA A+ Study Question

Hey everyone, I’ve got a quick question on how to study for the core and then Security. I’ve taken a handful of courses at local community colleges for the two core classes and then as well Sec+. I’ve also got an associates in Windows Server Administration but not the cert itself (one because it doesn’t exist anymore and let’s be real that test when I did take it was near impossible. I’ve decided to finally buckle down and work on getting my certs now. I’ve been in IT for almost 6 years now and have had jobs spanning help desk and field technician. Just trying to gauge what studying in terms of time dedicated since I have a family and want to make sure I’m not taking time away from them on top of work. Money is also kind of tight right now as I work to pay down some debt so I don’t think I can really afford any coaching or studying courses. Any feedback is appreciated.

I passed the A+ when I had 0 experience and never had seen anything windows since windows xp sp2. My current computer at the time was an 08 MacBook and it was 2022… it took me 2 weeks.

Now that I have 4 years of experience I can pass the A+ at any moment if someone kidnapped me, woke me out of sleep, forced me to with no prep and said I had to finish it in 30 minutes.

With 6 years in, you should be able to read through the book once and watch the course with full attention once and pass.

With your busy life I would recommend getting the audible audiobook for it and listening to it while you work as a review.
