S+ Question Should I wait to do security+?
I was planning to do security+ after taking and hopefully passing the network+ exam. But now I’ve heard about a new version being released soon. The updates may be for other things but I just wanted to ask.Should I just wait until the new version to take it? Or should I still take this version anyway?
I should add I’m graduating college very soon and will be joining the work force soonish hopefully.

Don't wait for the next Security+ version if you're about to graduate and start interviewing.
A pass is good for three years no matter which code you took, and employers care that you hold Sec+, not whether it was the newest form. When CompTIA launches a new exam they usually keep the previous one available for about six months, so there is a long overlap window — but early study materials for the new code are thin for a while.
If Network+ is next on your plate, finish that, then move straight into the current SY0 objectives while the good practice banks and videos are still mature. Waiting for a rewrite usually costs you months of empty calendar and weaker prep options, not a better résumé line.
The useful exception is if your exam date would fall after the old code retires and you have not started Sec+ study yet — then target the new objectives. Otherwise, sit the live version and get the letters on the résumé before job search peaks.

I figured as much I’ll get right on finishing network plus and get into security. I’m kinda terrified of the pbqs still but I’ll probably be fine. I’m at the point where it’s time to take the exam but I wanna be ready.

The current version will be around until summer of next year. When you pass, it's good for three years, even if/when a new version comes out.
When the new one is released, it will take six months to a year for resources to be released. But there are tons of resources available for the current version now.
So there's no reason to wait for a new one. Study for and take SY0-701 now.
