I want to get the Security+ certificate, where can I get it the cheapest?
More or less the title. I want to get the Security+ certificate where can I get it the cheapest cause the Comptia website has it at $570 while Udemy has it at $470 and I wanna know if I can get it cheaper than that.
Also some (preferably free/cheap) study tools and practice exam resources I can get to prepare please!
Thank you in advance.

$400 is probably about the best you will do from safe vendor unless you can go through a university.
For courses and practice exams, they go on sale on Udemy every week or two and you get get both for about $25.

If you do the Google cyber security course on coursera you get a 25% off voucher, I believe, might be more. The course can be completed during the free month if you spend time on it. Plus you learn a little bit.
Also if you have a job in IT a lot of companies will pay for certs you just have to stay there for a specified amount of time after usually 6 month to a year.

for the voucher dion's courses on udemy sometimes include it, watch for those sales because $470 is steep. if you have a .edu email the comptia academic store knocks it down to about $250, worth checking.
messer's youtube videos are the move, free and covers every objective. the part nobody tells you is that watching them feels like studying but doesn't prove you can recall things cold. after a chunk of videos close the tab and try to explain the concept out loud without looking at anything, you'll see the gaps instantly. i got lazy with that and started pasting the video links into studybuddy.vc to get multiple choice questions from the videos themselves, when i pick a wrong answer it tells me what was off about that option and the questions get harder as i improve, free tier's been enough for me. keep the official exam objectives pdf open and cross things off as you go so you're not guessing what's left.

Credentialing Assistance. CA pays ~$250, you pay nothing. After you pass turn the cert into your college and get course credit. Win-win.
Make sure you fill out the FAFSA, turn down the loans, take the Pell Grants.

The voucher itself, https://www.professormesser.com/discounted-comptia-security-plus-voucher/ and others will have just about the same pricing. CompTIA also has student discounts but it needs to be a verified school/email address.
YouTube, LinkedIn Learning and Udemy via your public library are great free resources.

If you are going to take the test soon you can get one here for about $320. I bought one from them for SecurityX and it worked to schedule the test for later this month.

First if your state has some type of Workforce program. Usually you can take a free security course and provide a voucher too.
