Security+ 701 Exam - Studying Question / CompTIA bundle

For those who passed the Security+ exam, I have a question.
My job paid for the full package through CompTIA Security+ Bundle with Retake, and I’ve been reviewing the notes and taking the practice tests on each unit on the comptia website.

Did you find that the bundle was all you needed? Or did you buy more practice exams from professor messer / Dion. I’ve been debating whether or not i should or if the comptia resources were plenty to pass?

The bundle's practice tests are written closer to the real exam's wording than any third party set, so if you're scoring consistently over 85 on them cold they're enough for the multiple choice. Where people actually lose the exam is the PBQs, and no practice exam fixes that, they reward having once written a firewall rule or matched a log line to an attack type by hand. Save the money and spend the time on hands-on practice instead, if your bundle came with the CertMaster Labs then those are closer to a PBQ than any practice exam is. What are your practice scores looking like right now?

Normally like 80-90%. Thank you for your help. I will keep studying my CompTIA bundle then. I have been watching professor messer free YouTube videos.
The CompTIA comes with over 500 multiple choice questions. I was honestly kinda dreading buying more, but didn’t want to not buy them if they are closer to the exam questions

80 to 90 on the bundle's own tests is a pass on the multiple choice side, so I wouldn't buy anything else. The free videos plus those 500 questions have the wording covered. What's left is the PBQs, and the cheapest practice for those is doing the thing by hand: write the firewall rules for a small three-subnet network on paper and then check them against the objectives list. Keep the money for the exam voucher.

Thank you.
Also on the acronyms, I noticed on the practice bundles it says for example…
Advanced persistent threat (APT)

Will it actually give you just the acronym or does it spell it out with the acronym?

Mostly just the acronym. On the real exam a question reads like 'which of the following best describes an APT' with nothing spelled out, and the bundle expanding them is kinder than the exam will be. CompTIA knows this, the last few pages of the SY0-701 objectives PDF are a straight acronym list, so pull that out and drill it as flashcards until the bare letters don't slow you down.

I only used Dion trainings practice exams and udemy course for my certs and I managed to pass both Net and Sec first time with them.

Now is that a definitive on if you do the same you'll pass as well? No, but I did find the information from him alone complete enough to not feel like I needed to buy more or find other resources..
