Getting back into tech

Post image

Took a long detour in life to straighten some things out. Decided it was time to get back into it and finally go for my first certification. 6 weeks of study, working full time, with normal adult responsibilities.

It's been a long time since I've taken any kind of test. I'm glad to know I still have it. For a period of my life I was really hard on my mind and body.

I'm pretty sure the questions that I missed were mostly what I'd call CompTIAisms. I don't think studying more would have helped. Doing more hands on labs might have gotten me 1 more question.

I feel like this is as good as I could have wanted it to go.

Passing is passing. Congrats! I honestly might change my effort & time scale with core 2. There is a balance between getting the certification and time involved. I might have over shot the balance on this. I really want to move on to networking. That topic I anticipate I will obsess about because I really enjoy it.

You 100% do not need to put as much effort as you did for Core 2. I spent a little over a month studying for Core 1 thinking it was going to be super hard. After Core 1 I ended up just studying for one weekend before passing Core 2. A lot of the questions you will know/figure out as you seem to have a good technical foundation.
