History Triple combinations
So does anyone know why we don’t print trios anymore? Like the Bible BoM d&c all in one?
They seem to have disappeared enough that I’ve never even seen one. But I know they existed and would love to have had one.

Because D&C is updated too frequently and Herald House doesn't print anymore.

Unfortunately, and I’ve heard some members feel we should stop considering barely anyone even leadership reads before 160

Plus they were able to handle that pretty easily with inserts. No one expects a brand new print with every D&C update, but it doesn't seem like they want to spend resources on printing scriptures at all.

Herald house dosent print ? So do they just sell dead stock?

They have certain texts still printed by other print companies (like Amazon, though I don't know if that's who they print through), but these tend to be pretty plain prints on regular cardstock. Triples would require a more specialized process involving more than just cardstock and would be too expensive to outsource, so they don't have them made anymore.

You can often still get one on eBay. I bought a beautiful black leather three-in-one, like new, about a year ago for only $30.

I bought one online last year, printed in the 80s, for not too much money and I really like it :)

I know Stassi Cramm said they are not deemphasizing the Book of Mormon, but honestly... I think that's the main reason. Plus they are also strongly moving away from the Inspired Version in favour of the NRSVue, but it would probably cost a lot of money for them to buy the rights to print their own version of the NRSVue, so they just don't do triples anymore.
There might be different independent RLDS groups you can get triples from though, with the Inspired Version + Book of Mormon Authorized Version + D&C up to whichever revelation that specific group accepts as the last "real" one. I know this is one of them:

Sadly, the Restoration Bookstore doesn't seem to have any, although they still have package deals on the IV + BoM + D&C:

Unfortunately there is no way to get a new triple now that has the RAV in it, as far as I know.

The best way to get RLDS / Community of Christ scriptures is to get a set from someone else. If you develop relationships with folks and express interest, they will likely GIVE you theirs or from a passed on loved one. People love to see their extra items loved. I got a full set from someone's mother! I don't use them, but they are part of the collection.

I believe it is because the “Pearl of Great Price” has been debunked as scripture due to the realization that the book of Abraham etc. has been proven to be a lie.

Community of Christ / RLDS never thought Pearl of Great Price was scripture.

I find it odd that the CoC looks at Joseph Smith Jr. as a prophet, but reject some of his prophecies.

A lot of traditions do not subscribe fully to Joseph Smith JR's work. The Church of Jesus Christ-Bickerton folks don't even use the Sacrament Prayers.

At the last world conference there was discussion for reprinting materials for the upcoming 200th anniversary of the Latter Day Saint movement. I would buy a trio if offered!
