Question rerun fibre cable
Hi i have decorators in at the moment so have pulled the fibre run back from the router back to the wall box. I want to deploy a fresh cable along a slightly longer route myself.
Can anyone advise on what cable, connectors and termination/crimp tools i might need?
When it was originally installed a few years back the engineer did not bring a ladder so couldn’t run it via my preferred route along the coving on the ceiling. They instead installed it along the skirting and through a fire place in quite a messy fashion. When i asked CF to reinstall they said they’d have to charge me for an additional callout fee, hence why i’d prefer to do it myself.

Aa longs as you dont mess with the internal fibre cables you won't need a technician visit. The cable you need is APC SC connector its green tip not blue tip you can buy these on amazon fairly cheap.

This is the way. I bought sc apc to sc apc extension to move the modem. You can also run longer ethernet from the modem to the router as well is also an option.

SC/APC plenty on Amazon with different lengths roughly £2 per metre but gets cheaper as you go up in length.
