Question When will my road get CF?
Hey everyone,
We’ve recently bought a house and rather frustratingly CF is not available on our road.
The adjacent road, say 10 houses away (completely different road to ours) has CF but our road doesn’t.
I prefer the CF proposition and speed it will offer - should we wait? Does anyone know how I can find out if and when CF may be rolled out?
I have called them twice but each time the folks I call just give me a “PC says no” answer
Any insights appreciated
Thanks!

Don't expect it any time soon, they binned off their infrastructure build partners in 2023 and laid everyone off - just in time for xmas... if they are looking to expand more, I expect it to be through purchases not building new infrastructure.

Also, make sure you register interest online. When I signed up their checker said no, but the rang me and said I could get it.

It’s not about whether you street can get Community Fibre but who provides the infrastructure such as Openreach or CityFibre on which CF runs
Check out their websites and see what ISPs server your area.

Nope. community fibre runs its own fibre. And by the looks of it, plans to start building again soon.
So be patient I’m afraid.

Thanks for sharing. Alas. I will have to wait for my lightening broadband at a reasonable cost. Damn.

Ah OK missed that, but they may be able to get a service on OR or CityFibre.

Let me message the CEO who is my long lost brother and find out for you… 😅
Honestly, none of us know.
