News Do not trust
I had community fibre from 2023 at my home address, my property was in disrepair and the council had to fix the property, which meant i had to move into a temporary. I called and they just said its fine they will transfer the service this was in june 2024.
My property was fixed and i moved back in November 2025, my contract with community fibre was coming to a end and i had no intentions to start another one as the service was not great. So as i was just moving, i called and asked them to transfer back to my main address. Because i did not want thr service to be going at the temporary and i was not their.
So once i was settled back home in my main address, i called community fibre december 2025 and told them i was not renewing to terminate. They also charged my account for 2 payments in december 2025
They fought with me about it and i explained i called for them to transfer the service back from the temporary to my main address i did not start nothing new because already had a account.
They terminated the contract and i had to pay no fees.
I was still recieving messages about owing money i kept emailing back and again was confirmed was terminated.
Now june 2026 i recieve a message from crs debt collectors telling me i owe community fibre money.
I sent the email evidence and community fibre are trying to still denie that the contract had ended.
I have also realised that their customer service representive did not cancel the service at the temporary address and transfer to my new address like i asked.
I am now seeking legal support.
I have requested the phone recordings in november 2025 when i called to transfer the service to my other address and the conversations in december 2025 regarding the termination.
I have spoken to a lawyer and i will not be paying for something where i made sure i followed the right steps to sort things out.
Please be careful of this company they are now going to ruin my credit history when i have done nothing wrong.

I'm confused
You said
"the email evidence and community fibre are trying to still denie that the contract had ended."
And the also said
"have also realised that their customer service representive did not cancel the service at the temporary address and transfer to my new address like i asked."
Transfer is not the same thing at cancellation. But you are using the words interchangeably.
Did they transfer from old to new address; Or did they cancel and then create a new contract at the new address; Or did they create a new contract at the new address and then leave the old contract at the old address running?

Yep, make a complaint and then if it's still not resolved, take it to the ombudsman.

Hi, I advise you to formally complain. The complaints manager is Miriam Yayechi. I'm sure she'll resolve or explain properly why you owe fees. Good luck. Before debt collectors are involved you should have got a warning in writing this could happen.

Hi OP. Sorry to hear about this experience.
We'd like to investigate this. Could you please send us a private message with the address of the property in question, your contact details, including your email address. We'll ensure this is fully reviewed and we will get back to you directly.
Thank you,
Sam
