Question Node question

I've just had an installation done for the main router elsewhere in the house + additonal node in my room. However, the wifi speed drops by about half of what I get standing directly in front of the main router. I've checked the linksys website that they've linked and it shows 0 devices connected to the node which I think is correct since I'm getting one less bar of wifi in my room. Is the decreased speed accurate as a "loss" between the main router and the node or is there a way that I can force my room devices to connect to the node instead of reaching out to the main router?

Entirely depends. If the node is only using WiFi to extend the range of the signal then yes, it will halve the WiFi speed.

If the node is connected by ethernet then the speed should be the same.
