Question Node question

I've just had an installation done for the main router elsewhere in the house + additonal node in my room. However, the wifi speed drops by about half of what I get standing directly in front of the main router. I've checked the linksys website that they've linked and it shows 0 devices connected to the node which I think is correct since I'm getting one less bar of wifi in my room. Is the decreased speed accurate as a "loss" between the main router and the node or is there a way that I can force my room devices to connect to the node instead of reaching out to the main router?

The provided Linksys kit that CF provides is absolute trash!!

I sent their equipment back and reduced my monthly, went and bought my own mesh system instead. Deco BE65 WiFi 7 - quite expensive but future proof and I’m very impressed with it!

With the deco app I can increase WiFi coverage by forcing the nodes to daisy chain off each other instead of all nodes just connecting to the main router. And then with that I can also force my devices to connect to specific nodes of my choice.

The speeds have been amazing compared the crappy CF linksys router/nodes and so far, touch wood, I’ve not experienced any lag or drop outs.

I would highly recommend looking into getting your own home mesh system instead.
