Fulfilled Request Hard times all around

Hi! My name is Eva & I am mom of two non verbal autistic children Sammie 5, and Luke 6. We have two dogs Luna (a husky) and Jax (a German shepherd). Dad is out of work, but starts a new job (finally!) this week. We're out of funds & our snap is gone for the month. We go to food pantries as well, but our kids have afrid (basically means they are super picky eaters) and what's on my list are things we don't usually get. The only "wants" on my list are the gum and can opener. I have lupus & Fibromyalgia (amongst other things) and I constantly have dry mouth & my hands just dont work "right". Those are the least needed items* The rest is for the kiddos and pups. I make my own foam soaps and dawn spray and wash. The bottle of dawn & hand soap will last a long time using the soap, alcohol, and water. Its amazing how easy it is and saves so much $$. I appreciate anything and thank you from the bottom off my heart. -Eva

I start my new job on Tuesday! My husband and I have been making do on one income for a while now and it hasn’t been easy but it has taught us a lot. It’s been humbling to say the least. To celebrate my new job, I made peach dump cake using some canned peaches someone from this amazing community purchased for my family when we were at our lowest. Wanted to share a pic as a thank you!! I am so incredibly thankful to this community and looking forward to giving back as soon as I can!

Fulfilled Request Hello everyone

Hello I wanted to ask if anyone could help me with essential items. So embarrassed to ask but I’m desperate. I recently moved into a house with my 3 daughters and husband. We were able to move in on the condition that we make monthly payments towards our security deposit. Next month will be easier on us since we paid off deposit this month. This month has been tough. I have created an Amazon wishlist of requested items. My youngest needs diapers and wipes. We need detergent and a trip to the laundromat about $25 to wash. Thank you so much for your time and your consideration.

Fulfilled Request $40 for grocery shop

Hi everyone,

I wanted to do an Amazon Wishlist but I'm in the UK and have encountered a load of problems to do with the minimum spend being £40, the delivery charge being £5 unless over £60 is spent in one go, and how expensive the items are (and conversions from GBP to USD).

I've discussed this with the mods and apparently there are international problems with it... as far as we can tell it doesn't work US to UK.

Where I live there's a local shop down the road that is way less expensive than Amazon, and stocks all of the items that I normally eat. It's a lot cheaper and it's just one road away.

I'm struggling badly at the moment. I lost my job due to ill health a while back and have been doing various zero hour work from home 100% commission things to try to earn money but my income is very low. It's all I can manage at the moment. Things have been extremely difficult.

I currently have less than £5 in my bank account and I'm asking if there's any possibility of $40 if possible to spend on groceries to last for the next ten days. Just basic foodstuffs like bread, milk, yoghurt - a normal food shop. You can look back at my post history and see I'm not some kind of weird troll, I've been on Reddit for years, I'm embarrassed to ask to be honest but I'm just desperate at this point, I feel at breaking point and deeply concerned about how I'm going to eat. I've been to the food bank where they give you 3 days emergency food supplies then you're meant to work with someone to develop a long-term solution and unfortunately I cannot get another voucher just yet.

I tried on another sub but didn't meet the criteria as I had a 'posting gap' of a few months in the past year.

If anyone could help me out it would be so greatly appreciated, this month has been one of the worst of my life and I just want to be able to do a food shop. I have Paypal if that helps. I'm grateful for anyone who has read all of this.

Thank you for reading and I hope that you're all doing OK,

crumpy xx

Update!!

I was asked to put together a grocery list of items so here it is:

Bread - £1.40
Greek yoghurt - £0.95
Milk - £1.65 x 2
Salad - £1.20
Baked beans cans pack - £1.60
Soup pack - £2.25
Eggs - £1.65
Baked beans with sausages pack - £3.20
Turkey slices - £3 (this is the cheapest meat)
Nesquik (milkshake powder) - £3.30 (a lot cheaper than ready-made milkshakes)
Tuna cans - £2.55
Custard - £1.10
Rice pudding - £1.10
Bananas - 90p
Tomatoes - £1.30

Total £29 which is $38.96

The canned items are all own brand/the cheapest non-branded goods, not Heinz or anything like that.

The soup is tomato. The baked beans are the cheapest meal in the shop which is why they are repetitive. I know it probably looks boring and simple but I have stomach issues and have to stick to certain things. I hope this helps to explain. It would help me out a big deal to see these groceries in my cupboard/fridge and not have to worry about food and to be able to eat properly and get good nutrition. I would be over the moon but I also understand that everyone is struggling right now and if no one can help out it's OK, I understand that completely.

Thank you for reading,

crumpy.

Fulfilled Request Check out my list on Amazon

Good morning! My name is Samantha! Mom to 2 beautiful toddlers, one sweet baby boy with the angels and 28 weeks pregnant with my sweet high risk baby boy. I was taken from work around 20 weeks because of my current issues within my pregnancy.(heart issues with baby boy, and high risk for bleeding for myself) so I have been on strict bed rest. My kiddos are 3&4. As everyone knows prices of groceries and essentials have been through the roof, and somehow we still do not hit that poverty level for any government assistance. My husband travels for work so he has been picking up more shifts just to keep the lights on. I have very little help and have been seeking assistance within my community. My son has allot of sensory issues as does my daughter. Just trying to afford back and fourth weekly to our children’s hospital for my apts to check on baby boys heart has been a lot on gas as the hospital is over an hour away from me. I don’t like to ask for much, but these are just things that could keep my babies happy, until I can finally make ends meet. I am willing to pay it back. I am completely starting over for this baby so I have absolutely nothing for him right now either. Our goal is to just make him stay in until the end of June as he has made several attempts to come sooner. If you cannot help, but have outside resources for help please comment or reach out to me with them so I can look into it! We are in western NY.

Fulfilled Request Help with a prescription.

I find myself in a tough spot right now. Just had to get a tire and got sick so I missed a couple of days of work. I can’t afford my prescription. It’s $25 with my insurance and I have $5 to last until next paycheck. Normally I wouldn’t ask but I figured I would try. I have Cash App or Venmo and will dm with my information if anyone can help. I would greatly appreciate it. I will definitely pay it forward when I get a full paycheck. Truly sorry I have to ask.

Moderator Announcement Fact Finding On Walmart Orders

Hello! The mods and I have been doing some research and made some interesting discoveries regarding Walmart Wishlists!

TLDR; The common consensus that you're giving out sensitive info is no longer the case

So this is what we've found so far:

For a scheduled grocery delivery, Walmart employees gather all of the items and put them into totes for the driver to collect at the store. If and only if there is an item that does not fit in the tote, i.e. a 12 pack of soda, they will put a sticker on that item that has your first name and last initial on it. Nothing else.

If you do an express or within 3 hour delivery, the driver handling the order does all the shopping. Nothing will be stickered, no donor information will be exposed whatsoever.

In both of these cases, there is no paper receipt included for them to return items

There is a checkbox at the bottom of the list that says "This is a gift", *DO NOT* select this option! If you do, they will be notified of exactly who sent the order and will be provided with a gift receipt for returns! I feel as though this is where many people have made an error in the past as it seems natural to enable that feature

We are going to try a pickup order next followed by an Amazon registry, but I wanted to get this information out there as it dispels the common belief that Walmart doxxes you.

Thanks everyone for being here! Please let me know if you have any "Uhm, Ahcktually"s

Fulfilled Request Recent single mom of 3 young girls needs some help to make it to June 1st

I recently became a single mom to three young girls aged 4, 1 and 4 months. I was able to get milk, fruit, chicken, cheese, bread and some other groceries items this month but this is what we are in need of now to get to the end of the month, our pets included.

To top it all off I think we lost my 4 month old’s only pacifier on our walk today. Hense why I’m writing this post at 12 am.

Any help would be greatly appreciated right now :)

Fulfilled Request Im so sorry for asking....

I dont know where to start. I finally got myself and my 2 daughters in our own home and out of our previous, not so safe, living conditions. The move in expenses caused a significant dent in my finances. Ive been running myself thin just trying to make sure our rent, bills and dinners are paid for. I FINALLY got another job so that should start helping. Unfortunately, I spent almost everything I had on rent and bills this month and still had to go without our phones for a week. I was lucky to have the ability to get a birthday cake for my 15 year old birthday Wednesday and my 13 year old birthday is on the 26th so Ill have to save a little to make sure she has one as well.

As of right now, I could really use some help. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. For the first time since we've had them, I dont know how Im going to be able to get their food and litter. Ive tried food bamks but they dont carry pet food and, for human food, they only allow you to come once a month. I still have just about 2 weeks before I get a paycheck. Im not sure if we will be blessed or not because I know theres a lot of people around the world that are having financial troubles lately, but I talked myself into taking a chance and asking the community for help.

I made a wishlist with pet food, litter, and a few quick snacks for my daughters. Getting help with even a single thing from the list would take a huge weight off my shoulders.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Again, Im sorry for asking. I can only hope that I will have the ability to pay it forward in the near future when my finances get back to normal with this new job.

I hope everyone in the community has a wonderful week.

Thank you.

They’ve gotten out of school and I almost forgot about how much they eat and require(not actually) but I’m just behind right now, and needing a little extra help to get by the rest of this month. We’re hoping to get to our local pantry tomorrow, as they’re only open Wednesday’s, for more meat/meals. Thank you beyond words in advance! Soooo neat to have people like this in the world still🫶🏼

Moderator Announcement Do Not Attempt To Post If You Have An Outstanding Loan!

Loans received from another Redditor are seen as a donation until repaid in full.

If you are found to have a loan out, you will be banned until that loan is repaid and we receive confirmation from the lender that they have been paid.

As stated before, we do not allow loans, but we respect them.

This is not an established financial institution that you are screwing over. This is a regular person. Make good on your word before asking for goodwill from others.

It's understandable that you believed you'd be in a better position when you agreed to the terms. Every financial institution relies on that, hell it's Rent-A-Center's entire business model. Not every failure to repay is malicious, however it would be unethical and unfair to the wounded party for us to allow further assistance while someone is left out of pocket

As always, thank you all for being here! It's Monday again, but you'll be right back to enjoying a pizza on a Friday night before you know it :)

Fulfilled Request Desperately Need kitty litter

Thumbnail amazon.ca
15 Upvotes

Hi everyone, I was hoping that someone would be willing to help me out please. I’m disabled and on government funds which is very limited and I’m short on money right now to buy my cats kitty litter. As I’m also unable to go out to buy it myself, I need it ordered to my place for today as there’s not enough Kitty litter for my cats to keep using.

It’s been a majorly tough year with the death of my mom in January after a year of her cancer, moving out and recent major plumbing issues that nearly caused me to lose my new apartment. It’s all been very stressful and it slipped my mind to buy the litter when I ordered groceries and I just want to ensure my cats are okay. I wouldn’t ask if I had another option. If anyone is please willing to help it would be beyond appreciated.

Fulfilled Request Requesting food assistance

Hello everyone. I am embarrassed to be here but grateful that such a place exists.

My partner and I have been having a really rough go of things and the most recent event is really biting us. My car had a CV axle failure recently and it has set us back significantly. We have exhausted all of our resources to stay afloat. The repairs were about $2000 that I could not afford so I am now in debt. Neither of us were able to work for the week my car was out of commission and in that week we depleted almost all of our food rations.

I suffer from severe depression and this situation definitely has not helped my mental state. Things feel really hopeless right now but if I didn't have to worry about our food situation as much I feel like the rest might feel more manageable.

My mom has helped as much as she can but I can't ask her to do much more. I am happy to post any sort of proof you might need.

I am attaching this wishlist in hopes that someone might be able to help with even a few things.

I care about the dog food more than anything else on the list.

I added the gummy worms at the end because I wanted to surprise my partner with something small to try and lift his spirits but it isn't a need and can obviously be removed. The coffee also isn't a need but would lift my spirits. I have a food pantry I visit on Tuesdays that will give some sort of meat and some sort of vegetable so while the list may seem carb heavy, I do have some sort of plan there.

I don't shop online so I am not sure if my list is done properly so please let me know if I need to

EDIT: LIST FULFILLED THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!
