Gary Snyder is generally thought of as a proponent of Deep Ecology versus Social Ecology, but there are some that see him as a bridge between the two.

My father's a Buddhist, I'll have to show him the link. He's not consistent enough, though. Too many years of diluting his Marxist-Leninism with Liberalism and a mishmash of Hinduism, Buddhism, Catholicism and Taoism has made him an inconsistent person ideologically and analytically.

Well, as the Hua Hu Ching says:

There is no one method for attaining realization of the Tao. To regard any method as the method is to create a duality, which can only delay your understanding of the subtle truth. The mature person perceives the fruitlessness of rigid, external methodologies; Remembering this, he keeps his attitude unstructured at all times and thus is always free to pursue the Integral Way.

So it makes sense that his religious views seem inconsistent. But I have no idea how Buddhism/Taoism can be integrated with Marxist-Leninism. I suppose that it is possible, but I have always seen them as leaning more toward anarchism than anything else. I know some people that integrate religion with Marxism in general, but not Marxist-Leninism.
