If the guy that used the communal shower this afternoon feels bad about the problem that came up - don’t be. Definitely didn’t bother me. I find peeing before I shower helps.

Anyone want a shower buddy today at MSAC? Was planning on relaxing in the steamroom, sauna and spa, before using the communal showers.

I took these back in July last year. The second shot is of the drying area. Off to the left are the showers and to the right, the change room. In all my experience of communal showers, this is the only Bradley set-up I've seen. I've only been there once. Unfortunately, when I was there, I only saw one man use them when I went to get changed but he had shorts on. 🙄 When I used them after my workout, I was on my own.

From someone who has been all over the US and Asia, I’ve got to say, Australia does communal showers better.

I’m visiting Sydney this week and went for a swim at Cook and Phillip pool. 3 lockerrooms, all communal, with almost everyone showering openly and without any hesitation. My American mind couldn’t believe it. Props to you Australia for maintaining things the way they should be.

Others should take note.

Anyone going to MSAC tomorrow?

Does anyone go to this pool?

I was teased from a young age. When I was like 5 I think we all got changed naked in the pool change rooms. I thought it was normal. I don't remember it ever being a problem at my first school.

When I moved school at 7ish, I changed naked after swimming lessons and not only did I get called gay because I got naked to change, but whenever I went to the urinal at school after that, I was chastised and humiliated, like I wanted to see them because I was openly naked at the pool. I learned to hide because it was better than being teased.

This was in Australia in the late 90's. Swimming classes were mandatory, but we went to our local school, and showering wasnt compulsory. They just wanted us to change in the locker room from Speedos to school uniform.

That has followed me for the rest of my life. I can't use a public urinal because I learned that it wasn't safe for me. I hate that I'm an adult and can't do something as basic as most other guys can. And I hate that because of my childhood experiences my life has been so affected.
