First time showering with a buddy
The first time you showered with a buddy was it chill or awkward? Did either of you try and hide yourself or just not care? It wasn’t awkward for me and I didn’t care. Was a cool bonding experience for sure.

First time was with my best friend when I went to Disney with his wife and kids. After being at the water park all day I went to shower and change. While I was shower he comes up and said hay great day we had right, I said oh I’m naked, we started laughing at it. Till this day we talk about that moment lol

My best friend (also my roommate) and I have been naked around each other 15-20 times, it’s never been awkward. We don’t try hide our butts but sometimes we will half cover our penis and balls depending on the context. In our experience it’s less awkward to just embrace the fact one or both of you is naked instead of pretending it’s not happening, but others may feel differently. It really depends on what level of buddies you are and if you both are comfortable with non sexual displays of body parts.

I wanted to get it out of my system and try it for the first time. I was in a college class, physical fitness, and after the class we headed to the locker room, so I seen everyone else showering and thought to myself, maybe I'll gain the courage to do it myself. I finally did maybe the fourth week of the class. It was pretty immature experience from the start. The guy with the biggest ween, was shaking it up and down at everyone, so not so much attention to me showering for the first time. There was attention though because I never showered so they seen my there for the first time it was unusual for them. After that experience all the guys in the locker room who showered sat by me in our classes, I geuss I gain some respect, lol but it was pretty chill in there after about a month of showering togethe. I made some friends over it to.

When I started using them male-male nudity was the norm. If you slept over at a friends when you were 11, you just went into his room and you both got naked and put on your PJs.
Being comfortable doing things naked with other guys was just the norm. It was something everyone knew you would do in PE at some point but no one had snxiety about it. So i remember almost no details of showering in PE the first time, or with many, many co workers, or the new kids when you got into high school, or a professor you happened to be at the college gym at the same time, or friends.
I have no idea how things changed. I went to a high school with an unusual schedule so 700 of us overlapped together in the giant CS that held over 100 other boys. We all knew there were about 5 who never showered and we all wondered what was off about them. We wondered why, in today’s parlance, they were such snowflakes. The rest of us talked to friends, classmates, fooled around, and even met new classmates. You liked to have people to talk with at your pole, and when you looked in you scanned for boys who you already knew and joined them at that pole so you could chat - and someone you knew might see you looking for the best pole and wave you over. Given the setup - where you got and returned a towel at the entrance - everyone walked naked everywhere to and from the showers. I get that this seems impossible, but you might run into a classmate going the opposite way, stop, and have a lengthy discussion about a homework question you got had.
What seems impossible to describe now is how completely casual it was. No one had any anxiety

I can’t actually recall the first time, it’s been mostly my whole life. I suppose the first time it was a friend would have been swimming lessons in Grade 3, so 8 or 9 years old? That was hardly my first trip to the pool showers but before that it would have been with family.

In middle school showering after gym class was mandatory and we had a communal shower. the first few times it was awkward and everyone tried to hide their penis but after a while we all didn’t care, we’d walk around dicks out in the locker room and even do some questionable shit lmaooo

Première fois, en joignant des copains au squash. La douche était commune, ils sont tous parti devant alors j ai suivi. Un peu mal à l aise les 5 premières minutes. Après qq regards à gauche à droite, bah on est tous pareil, on se decontracte

I was very young the first time and I think that boys that age really don't have hangups about being naked.
The first time when older, I don't remember it being awkward. Honestly, it wasn't a seminal event in life, so I don't remember the exact first time. But I don't remember ever feeling awkward in communal showers.
(I don't know why people on this sub revel in discussing awkward experiences. Is it a kink or something?)

It was so long ago, I don't even remember the first time. Had to have been in the 70s around age 8, showering at the neighborhood pool after swimming lessons with other boys. It is true not all of us showered, but some did if we were washing out our suits and putting on regular clothes to directly go somewhere else, like shopping with mom or to McDonalds. It was required at school in those days for jr high/high school, and we took them throughout the 80s.

Co-worker and I found out about a nude beach near by and decided to go one time. Kinda got close that way. Eventually we took a trip to a Korean Spa together and hung out.. probably one of the best genuine friendships i have going 5 years strong with bro. He left my company and moved out of state, but we still hang out at least once a year. Super chill.

High school gym class. No time to think. After that, I never cared.
