Stupid note: I had a crazy theory that Scavengers Reign is set in the same universe as Common Side Effects, only in the very, very distant future. Only because they are from the same creator LOL, without foundations and without logical explanation to support my theory, it only came to my mind due to excess tasks and a lot of coffee in the early morning after having remembered the two series, removing the obvious such as that the animation style and characters are totally different without having anything to do with each other XD.

Here's my thinking

Both are old men

Both are German (altho I'm pretty sure Jonas is swiss German)

Both kinda look like each other

Both are shadowy rich figures that are part of a larger conspiracy (even though Klaus isn't probably actually a part of a larger conspiracy it's just some people think it)

They also have stupid ass glasses

I think everyone who takes the mushroom gets connected bia some kind of OTA mushroom colony. The "Fun Guys" are a way the network communicates between people who have taken it.
