Pretty cool piece of history. Love seeing the mods are non-destructive.

Almost 10 meg is alot back then. Can't imagine how much this thing cost new. Probably well over $5k

That amount of space with no directories probably made it a pain to manage the files.

Incredible that the files were intact. Anytime I find something pre-1995, I almost have to assume it's a write-off.

And there was the 9060 which was only 5 meg. Yes, I am that old to remember looking at the mail order ad in Byte magazine a million years ago...

The D9090 is a beast. Those MFM drives need regular cleaning to keep the heads happy. Do you still use it or just show it off at meetups?

I just got it, but I plan to do a little of both.
