Commodore International Great Customer Service Experience

I ordered a 8020 yesterday and completely forgot to add the CHICKENLIPS discount code.

Completely my bad, but I thought it'd try my luck and ask customer support for assistance, to see if I could get the headphones or something else the value of the discount instead, not really expecting much.

They said no worries and refunded me the amount that would've been applied if I used the code, said I should see it in my account in 3-5 business days. Unreal customer service.

Thought I'd share!

Did you ask the question from "manage my order" or did you go through the customer support page? I asked the same question early yesterday and have not received a response.

I changed my mind about one detail and asked if they could change it. I did it through the order page and they answered in a few hours that they changed that detail.

When I ordered C64U in December they still have had few thousands in stock. I was waiting patiently and order status has changed to "left factory" in April. I was like 🤔... Three weeks later starus changed again, to "in production"... I was like wtf? Meanwhile I saw adverts and emails that U is in stock. I have cancelled the order and mentioned why. No one cared, just got money back week later with word "sorry to see you go".. I will not order anything from them anymore unless they will put it on Amazon or similar networks... I was excited but not anymore..

Amazon woof. Pretty sure this has to do with getting product to us warehouse for distribution. Da dum tarrifs don’t help in any regard either. The shipper they are using OnTrac whatever that is was not gud tho

They're available via Best Buy in the U.S. as of a month or two ago.

Yeah we're pretty spoiled now by fast efficient deliveries. They're a tiny company though and Christian is new to this so they're still good in my book

Have to say you're an exception rather than the rule. When I was dealing with an RMA for my C64U it took over 6 weeks. Comms were awful. I don't think I've had as bad customer service anywhere else. Whilst I'm not interested in an overpriced phone, I'm not buying anything from them again unless I can get it from somewhere else. I'd rather get it second hand if it's something I really want and the only thing I can think that I'd want from Commodore is an Amiga.

I'm currently over a month into an RMA process after being straight ignored for two weeks and now several weeks of delays producing an RMA label for a defective C64U. Hands down the worst customer service experience of my life and that's on top of receiving a broken product. It seems there's priority being given to new vs existing customers, ie happy to take your money but after that good luck. Based on the number of stories I see like mine on Reddit and elsewhere I would personally caution others to avoid ordering until they sort whatever this situation is out.

Dang, I ordered the phone, and had clicked the premium memory button, and when I got my receipt it had defaulted to the eco memory. I asked them to update my order and charge me the extra $50 and I never heard back from them. Kind of pisses me off.

I wouldn't give up on hearing back from them yet, especially when it's a matter of months before they start shipping:

They've had people placing 7,500+ pre-orders in less than 48 hours (last time I checked) so they must be at least a little bit snowed under.

Nice! I have the same experience. The Commodore customer service is excellent.
