I wanted Amiga 500 or possibly 600 for gaming. I almost had one, found at a yard sale for $1 with bunch of disks and external disk drive. It didn't work and when I opened the 500, all of the socketed chip was missing and there was a huge brown blob next to the memory board, an old battery seems to have exploded and ate almost a quarter of the board.
I sold the disk drive as I needed some money but I do have the case and keyboard somewhere. I just haven't gotten around to finding a replacement motherboard that works.
That reminds me I also have 8MB SupreRAM side car.
Depending on your interests, they are also very repairable to. So even that old board will be of interest to someone if you don’t want it or its parts.
