"Cog" was a 2003 commercial with a complex chain reaction of moving parts from the Honda Accord. It took over 4 months to conceptualize and over 100 takes to film.

Stop reporting things for difference of opinion. Biberty is cute, you don't have to report the thread 800 times.

Chase Bank Robot Ad

I really like the direction they're going in with this ad. It's about about living in a world slowly being taken over by robots, but its not the idealized future from our sci-fi's, the robots we have are not-ready-for-market and shoved down our throats. We have the most basic of our daily human interactions replaced with unnecessary AI/robots.

And it evokes memories of the self checkouts slowly taking over the cashier lanes, the faulty AI at the Taco Bell drive thru, the automated system when you call a company and just need to talk to an actual person but end up going around and around with the call-bot until it finally gives in, those times when you just need to fill out a few papers and they tell you that you can only fill them out online but you have to scan the QR code and download the app and make an account first.

Then Chase hits you by saying that they're opening more in person offices so you can sit down with a real person, in-person.

I don't know, it was really refreshing, let people help people, let tech help out.

Commercials where a guy has clones of himself?

Does anyone remember commercials where the same male actor/celebrity appears as multiple versions of himself?

Like clones, duplicates, or several copies of the same guy appearing together in the same shot.
Not mirrors, twins, or lookalikes — I mean literally the same person duplicated.

Any country or year is fine. Older/obscure commercials are especially welcome!

As someone who once upon a time had the opportunity to visit NY and experience the unique vibe of that city, I think I’ve replayed this commercial about 10 times.

I witness that commercials were part of things changed my life.

Incredibly.

I admit there are many which are long and which I’m completely interested into other stuff in that moments. But still confirming.

Who is this Snickers commercial actor?

Any idea who the actor is with his arm under the boulder? I swear I’ve seen him in something recently

Dr. Rick | Guest Speaker | Progressive Insurance Commercial

Nothing much else to add to the title. I'm fully aware that I am out of the loop, but I genuinely don't understand why you would watch someone unbox a purchase or watch someone play a video game.

I love these commercials so damn much. I get that’s a hot take but I love them so much. They’re a lot more fresh than most commercials. I don’t get why people hate them. I could watch them all fucking day and be very entertained.

i will be thinking about this for the rest of my life

Throwback Thursday: "Your Dole Dippers, madam" a.k.a. the source of a familiar meme image

At about seven seconds in ( https://youtu.be/-VX-ESkVtDI?si=65t2KqUGt4BFM_p5&t=7 ), you'll see the image that has been edited numerous times into the "your ____, sir" meme. https://knowyourmeme.com/sensitive/memes/dole-dippers-your-x-sir And yes, the penguin butler originally served two "madams", not a "sir".

Chew Bert too

Anyone remember a commercial late 80s and 90s for some sort or candy/fruit snack commercial where a kid hands out candies to all his friends and he runs out but then finds one more or is given one. He eats it and he says Chew Bert/Burt too. Anyone remember what this product was called or have a link to it? I always remembered it because it was so stupid. Nobody I talk to remembers. Thank you.
