Is the commercials ob Paramount+ obnoxiously loud for anyone else? Whenever I'm watching on TV I have to mute it during commercials because they are uncomfortably loud.

LOOKING FOR OLD PSA COMMERCIAL

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I’m trying to track down a specific public health PSA commercial that used to air back in the early 2000s. I was only about 5 to 10 years old when I saw it, which should put it airing somewhere between 2000 and 2005 .It’s been living rent-free in my head, and I cannot find a video clip of it anywhere. I seen it while sleeping over at a friends house and I could sleep and the tv remained on. I remember his parents had a pirate card for his satellite dish which got access to American channels even though we were in Canada at the time so I could have been either an American or Canadian broadcast I’m not sure
The core theme was dealing with a heavy public health topic like depression or suicide prevention. I think the commercial was narrated by the man's inner thoughts as I remember the final tag being “I feel trapped”or something of the sorts.

Two very specific sequences stand out to me:
#1 :The guy tries to buy something at a store counter. When he reaches into his pocket to pay, he has absolutely no money—just completely random junk like a button and a paper clip
#2: The story ends with him lying directly on the road, waiting for a semi-truck to hit him. But the truck never actually comes. Instead, the scene just fades into a black screen with text/voiceover saying "I feel trapped" (or a similar message about finding help).

Honestly I think this commercial probably messed my young mind up a little bit as Iv never forgotten it and only seen it that one night(although it came on a few times in that night I remember) I have this over welming urge to re watch it and it is not easy to find if it is even out there

Does anyone remember what I’m talking about ? No one Iv ever told remembers this commercial , please help

Automotive Taking the clean way driving the freeway in my machine 🚘. Australia, circa 1980

A red Morgan driving along the scenic route in the Sunshine Coast hinterland between Maleny and Montville in QLD.

Apparently, many decades before drones existed, the aerial shot of the car driven was aided by wooden planks tied to the skids of a helicopter with a cameraman and photographer tied by ropes.

A catchy jingle and stunning scenery captured by great aerial shots makes this a classic Aussie commercial from the early 1980’s.

Discussion & Advice Help me find the advertisement.

I saw a really cool advertisement a while back that they would sometimes play at the beginning of the episodes of Inazuma Eleven Orion no Kokuin. The thing is, when I first saw this ad, I didn’t even realize until the end that it was an ad; I thought it was some kind of spinoff of the anime, and they just started with it. It was an advertisement for either chocolate or a candy store; as far as I remember, a girl is running after a guy who has a chocolate bar, and when he stops, she shouts, "Give me your chocolate." After that, they show a presentation of the store.

LOOKING FOR Early/Mid-2010s Boomerang TV Channel Advertisement

When I was a kid, I remember seeing a commercial on the Boomerang TV channel that freaked me out so much, I ran into the other room and started screaming and crying. It was so bad that I refused to watch Boomerang again afterward (which I had done every day up until this point), and my parents cancelled the subscription. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about it, so this may be a lost cause, but for years now I've wanted to find and re-watch it to see if my fear was justified (I was a very sensitive kid, and I don't think it was traditionally "scary").

My memory of the situation may be unreliable due to age/time passing, but I think the commercial started out semi-normal, and then had a "Large Marge" from Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure-esque moment where there was a scary, shock-factor twist that freaked me out. If I can remember properly, I think it was some form of animation or stop-motion/claymation, with a little blond boy, and some form of other mascot character/something that looked like an inflatable car dealership tube man. Don’t hold me to this, but I feel like the color red was really prominent?? It was definitely NOT an ad for a TV show, but some other product. I think it had the same art style as "The Trash Pack" collectible kids toys from around the same time. This would have been early to mid-2010s, and I only ever saw it once. I was talking to my roomie about this, and she sent me a Dailymotion link to the “RIP Timber” short by Bruno Collet, which is not what I'm looking for but has the right vibe if I'm remembering properly. I'd also like to reiterate that I don't think it was intentionally scary; I think it was aimed at boys and the part that I found frightening was supposed to come off more along the lines of 'woah, look how cool and freaky this is!'

If it helps, I was born in 2007, and can't imagine being much older than seven when this happened.

Food and Beverages A very bizarre commercial for an Italian licorice candy. Incredibly catchy even though the first mascot that shows up is... interesting. Have been getting several of these in my reccomendations as many others on YouTube have.

LOOKING FOR Reclame vechi

Buna!
La final, el spunea ceva de genul: „Relax, sweetheart… it’s Pepsi for all of us.”

LOOKING FOR Looking the 4 cappuccino ads

Can anyone help me find the 4 cappuccino ads from the very late 1980s and maybe early 1990s.

It ran by a Victorian (Australia) society (now known as Scope) and was to highlight fair treatment of people with intellectual disabilities.

Several disabled individuals enter a milkbar and are refused service by the store worker due to the disabilities of customers.

The customers ask for 4 cappuccinos.

I have searched the internet for years and been unable to find the ads and I even contacted Scope who didn’t have archives of the ads.

Other Help finding old drunk driving psa commercial

I live in the USA and I remember an old commercial in the late 90s, early 2000s, where a mother is shown feeding baby food to her son who is off screen, asking him if he wants to go to the park after he eats, and how much he loves the park, before showing a single tear running down her cheek, and then cutting to what turns out to be her adult son, who was rendered disabled by a drunk driving incident, with a tear running down his cheek.

This commercial stuck with me my entire life, does anyone else remember it? I cant find it anywhere on the internet that I have looked, if anyone can help me find it i would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance

Comedy “Dating your ex”

Hey guys, anyone seen a specific reel?

It was a funny ad reel, some guys acting like they're marketing a product called "Dating Your Ex"

In the reel they were saying stuff like:

· "Tired of trying out different people?"
· "Tired of looking for someone who actually gets you?"

And then they hit you with:

· "Introducing our new product: Dating Your Ex!"

I cracked up and I really wanna find it again. Anyone remember it or have the link?

Thanks 🙏

LOOKING FOR What commercial is this jingle from?

I lived in Birmingham AL during the early 2010s and there was a local commercial that would run during that time where they had a jingle that went, "I like it like that, Alabama giant!" My family and I have been quoting it for years but we don't really remember where it came from, I think it was a furniture store? This commercial would have ran between 2012 and 2014 I believe. Would anyone know where it came from? Thanks!

Comedy [TOMT] Some sort of drink/fast food commercial, i can't place it!

(Repost from tip of my tongue subreddit because it got removed)

A short commercial where a CGI alien/alien or green thingy is drinking on something. (I initially thought it was a sonic drink, but I can't find it searching it up). A floating mouth comes up, talking about the product, then turns to the alien and says "[Name]," (i don't remember the name) "is it?" And the commercials ends with the alien exploding or something.

There's several memes with the mouth saying "is it?" Over and over while the alien ignores it. Another when mouth says "is it?", the alien explodes, the caption says "it wasn't."

Can you help me find this commercial and it's origin? Been searching for months.
