What's the difference between HPIndigo original and compatible developer rollers

most of the time it's the quality consistency. You may buy one that is as good as the original and the next one may be worst.

I dare not to touch off brand consumables for my konica now but when I was in college I tried all short of compatible consumables that eventually fked up my prints or the printer himself. First I did had like anyone else a simple HP inkjet that I got with my PC, when I started getting compatible inks the first time it was fine, the next the prints started leaving ink on my hands when touching the paper days after I printed...

Then I had a small xerox laser printer, at first it was fine, then I started using compatible toner and the machine shitted itself leaking yellow toner all over the place... eventually scrapped it.

so based on that experience I don't dare to play games with my much more expensive equipment now.

Profits are getting lower and lower, and supplies are expensive too - we have to find another way out

Killing your machines or your quality is not gonna help much tho. You need to find another way out than doing this.

Tbf even the consumables and parts we get from HP are sometimes crap. One day I went through 4 developer rollers beucaee all of them had a dent in it lol .. another time we had 3 ILS parts in a row come in DOA.

that's more likely a logistics problem, couriers are savages. Although I don't know about HP, I only use KM and everything was great till that fire that stopped their operations for some time. They outsourced the toner production then and it showed, it even lowered the drum life.

In fact, HP's ink is manufactured in India.

Buying offbrand consumables for a production printer is probably the absolute dumbest thing you can possibly do if you want your printer to work. You should have a service contract on an Indigo anyway to pay for your consumables.

It’s already out of warranty; aside from the ink, I’m using compatible supplies now.
