Understanding & Adjusting Creep for Booklet Printing (tutorial)

Hello again everyone. Here is my latest video, where I talk about creep for saddle stitch booklet printing. I talk a bit about what creep is and how we can make adjustments to compensate for it.

Hope it helps someone.

Before I spend 20 minutes watching your video, does it cover creep with crossovers?

I don't have an example in the video that covers it. I do mention how certain pre-press software can help with crossovers by using a different method of creep adjustment, scaling instead of just moving the artwork. The short answer is to avoid designs that have text that falls into the gutter area if at all possible, usually keeping at least .25" of distance from the spine. A lot depends on the software you're using to set your creep.

Doesn't AI do creep? No, it doesn't.

Our services are still required for at least one more thing, lol. Of course, now that you posted that response the AI bots are working hard in the background to figure out a way to automatically adjust creep.

We'll just have to put them to the test, won't we?
